I overheard someone today say that it was the "nigger hummer" :jayzus: Once again the evil specter of racism raises its ugly head.

The only people I've ever seen in those are white gays.

Black people have better taste than that.

Don't have one, you'll have to wait until the resto is finished on the MG Midget.

EP, is this a true restoration, down to the 14 or so grounds on the electrical system?

Edit: Me? I kind of like the Element, in a strictly utilitarian-econobox sort of way. :clyde:

If my company ever decides to get rid of Explorers and use something cheaper and more fuel efficient, I always thought that an Element would make a good news vehicle.

No frills, to be sure, but it looks like it would hold a lot of gear and I'd think that no middle roof pillar would make getting stuff out pretty easy.

Never heard that expression before, but the Element has got to be one of the ugliest things that ever rolled off the assembly line.

    symbol Hd, element 123.

it can only be formed under the most intense of pressures, and as such the only current source are scrapings from michael moores congealed scrotal sweat.

It's funny, but when I read the phrase "nigger hummer" something other than Hondas went through my mind....

Its a guy wearing nothing more than a horse-riding hat and a scarf over his mouth.

Oh, and no seat belts :)

They made 'em tough in those days, 70% of the drivers on that grid died whilst racing

Its a 1971 MG Midget. A very small car, but an abslute blast to drive. Besides, I need a small car because I'm, compensating for something ;)

I owned a right hand drive version of that when I lived in Scotland.

Had to open the sun roof to get headroom.

Oops...bifocales betrayed me again...it was a Cooper Mini.

We had a 1958 Austin healy bug-eye Sprite when I was a kid. It may have actually been smaller than the MG.

And one of my ex-bosses in the 70s had a nice little collection of restored MGs - a TD, a TC, and (I think) a TF.

Sprite and midget are virtually the same car Forbin, Bugeye was just the early version sprite and then the later model sprites and midgets were the same. But the size of the bugeye and the frame and all are the same size as the later models. They are nicknames spridgets.
