I didn't realize the definition of "tit for tat" was "if our guy faces consequences for actual crimes, your guy has to face consequences for ones that we just made up."

It's funny how this shit happens, because if we were really dedicated to justice, truth, et. al., every president in US history would have been impeached. So I take threats of impeachments with little weight these days. What really happens? Nothing. These people are powerful, and are part of a system of powerful people whose wealth and privilege prevent most of them from ever seeing any kind of consequence for what they do.

Did Trump deserve to be impeached? Yeah, fuck yeah, definitely yeah.
I'd impeach Biden, too, for all of the wars we get into and for treatment of immigrants across the border.
I'd have impeached Obama, too.
And GW Bush. Fuck that asshole deep into the ground. I don't care how sweet he looks to people now, I remember what he did.

Then again, that's the kind of thing that matters to me, and likely not as much to everyone else, so my opinion gets to count for nothing outside of this forum.
At the end of the day, the impeachment means nothing, but I do think it's funny that the same people who voted for a man who raped women, who is a marked racist, who engaged in corruption so blatant we could all see it on TV, suddenly care about justice.

That assumes Biden hasn't committed any crimes and that assumes the President has to commit a crime to be impeached.

I am certain Joe Biden has committed crimes. I see US politicians the way I see billionaires: if you're that high up on the food chain, you've done some pretty horrible things to get there. The question is whether or not the horrible things you've done harms other wealthy politicians. If it doesn't, it kind of gets a pass and a sweep under the rug. If it does, like when Trump fomented the January 6th bullshit, that's another matter entirely. See, Trump didn't get poor people in a third world country brutally murdered, he put the lives of very wealthy, very powerful politicians in the line of fire. That shit will get you undone.

I don't care for the whole Bill Clinton "what the definition of is is" that we see when it comes to Trump and whether or not he was involved, he was. We know he was, he knows he was, he's proud of that shit. The people who did it were proud of that shit. Let's not pretend otherwise. This impeachment plan for Joe Biden, though, is going to be a waste of time and money, but it will be incredible theater for the people who are worried about how they're going to make their next rent payment.

Since impeachment seems to mean gets enough votes in the house to impeach then who cares. I think Trump taught us that part was just a part of the process and didn't mean much unless you could remove them from office to be charged and prosecuted.

I figure Biden has probably taken some funny money somewhere like every other politician out there. They are not going to actually open that door IMO or else the corporations would have a shit fit because it would make it harder to commit a crime by bribing someone.

I really do not care that Joe gets impeached in the slightest. Nothing will happen to him. Of course the reps will probably avoid impeaching based on anything he actually did so I guess this means he will be impeached over his son's dick pics like Clinton was impeached for getting a blowjob and not telling us about it.
