Alabama hasn't always elected racist dumbasses. In 1977 Alabama's then Attorney General, a young guy named Bill Baxley responded to threats from the Ku Klux Klan by writing the following on official letterhead: "Kiss My Ass" :salute:

Someone pointed out that it’s even funnier when you learn that he ‘evaded accountability’ by receiving a Presidential Pardon.

From a Republican. Now he one of the good ones, and the first actually, and these days is reviled by the majority of the Republican base, but still a Republican.

One I just came up with:

We traced your ancestry back four generations and found a possible criminal.

Really? I’m Irish-American! Did you put that together yourself, Einstein? Got a team of monkeys working around the clock on this?

Jesus Christ! He thought he’d get paid!

Hannity: “I can’t imagine you ever saying, ‘Bring me some boxes we brought back from the White House. I’d like to look at them.’”

Trump: “I would do that..I have the right to take stuff! You know they ended up paying Nixon $18 million for what he had.”
    https://x.com/highbrow_nobrow/status/1761926124588687546

Really have to watch the video.

I love how Hannity keeps pitching softballs and Trump keeps whacking himself in the balls.

You can just imagine that broke ass lizard brain thinking ‘If they paid Nixon $18 million back in the 70s, with inflation and how much more important mine are that’s gotta be at least $300 no $400 million dollars!’

And just for the school kids watching the PRA was put in place SPECIFICALLY because of Nixon’s actions.

And it did the exact opposite of what your guy is claiming:

Enacted November 4, 1978, the PRA changed the legal ownership of the President's official records from private to public, and established a new statutory structure under which Presidents must manage their records.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Presidential_Records_Act?wprov=sfti1#

But he knows his followers are either too dumb to know or look up and that the media they are fed won’t explain it to them OR so far gone the rabbit hole the truth doesn’t matter.

Yeah, Biff has mentioned getting paid before.

What he and his cult conveniently ignore is that the Presidential Records Act only came about because of Nixon and that Nixon didn't get paid...his estate did.

I'd support immediately paying Biff's estate as long as he held up his end of that particular bargain. :bergman:

Indeed. My understanding of the whole Nixon thing is that it came up because in 1974, the ownership of those papers was still legally unclear. It's perfectly clear now.

Yeah, this isn't the first time Trump has openly admitted a profit motive for keeping classified documents. This came up in the Grand Jury testimony in Florida as well.

He's completely transactional - and he asked for a list of the US's top spies from the CIA four days after his Helsinki meeting with Putin. After that they started disappearing.

It’s like comparing Lex Luthor and Wilson Fisk. Neither are a good choice.

You need to understand the difference between the Trump administration policies and Trump the person.

What in your mind is the difference? And why in your mind is either the Trump Administration or Trump better than the Biden Administration or Biden?

But a reasonable person should be able to look at two choices using a reasonable set of criteria and decide which is the worse choice. In some cases, there might be little difference. But in most, one is better than the other.

In comparing Lex and Kingpin in the context of who would be the better president in their respective superpowered worlds, I think it's fairly clear that Kingpin would be the better choice. Although he's a dangerous murderer and criminal, Kingpin's ambitions have only been to control crime in one city. He has never actively sought to undermine the Avengers or anything that his world relies on for its defense against major threats. While cunning, he does not have any level of genius or technology at his disposal, and so can be controlled using normal means. He also has at least somewhat of a moral code, and he has typically had his love for Vanessa as a weakness.

By contrast, Luthor is utterly amoral, and has sought to kill Superman and the Justice League numerous times despite the possible ramifications it would have for Earth. He has sought to ally himself with the universal threat Brainiac (and possibly Darkseid? hard to keep track of the various continuities), among others, showing he is a traitor to Earth's interests. He has a vast amount of tech at his disposal, including power armor suits, that would suggest that trying to stop him when he steps over the line would be much harder. He has no Achilles' heel that I'm aware of.

I could go on a rant why a person with as few ethics, as little knowledge, as much narcissism, as much disrespect for the rules and as little loyalty, and as poor character as Trump has displayed his whole life is an inferior choice to be president over pretty much anyone but it should be fairly obvious to anyone who has paid attention.

Some continuities have that kryptonite can indeed give human beings cancer, it just takes a while.
Some versions of Lex have been brought down by treating kryptonite like rhinestones to Elvis, and then being unpleasantly surprised.

That's not an Achilles' heel, or a unique weakness to Led, IMHO.

A contingency plan to get Lex to wear a radioactive thing for years isn't a workable solution to him being out of control the way, say, kidnapping or threatening Vanessa can be exxploited.

So you pick a third choice. You people really need to be reminded that there are more than just two choices on a weekly if not daily bases.
