Jeffrey Clark loses his bid to venue shop his disbarrment proceedings. You might remember him as the guy Trump was considering putting in as AG after William Fucking Barr said, 'Nope, this shit is too crazy, I'm out' and quit when it was apparent that Trump would not accept the results of the election.

He was the acting head of the Justice Department's Civil Rights division when he started plotting with Trump to overturn the election. His name will no doubt come up prominently when the Jan 6th indictments come down.

Okay so somewhere in the the 20 to 22 minute range of the podcast (I was running errands and listening and didn’t pay attention until Trey Gowdy went off) of Fox News Sunday there is a round table section worth listening to that begins.

What grabbed my attention was that when asked what advice he would give Trump in light of the facts in the indictment Trey Gowdy shouting that he would resign immediately.

Then Brent Hume who I have more respect for than most Fox people seemed try and bullshit and talk about Butter Mails and other things but maybe he just trying to explain the rational of the base idiot Republican primary voter.

But what I felt worthwhile sharing was Gowdy giving what at least to me seemed like a novel off-ramp for Rs (paraphrasing): Yes it is true that the Ds have been unfairly targeting Trump from the beginning; Yes they are weaponizing the DOJ and FBI against their enemies; But… BUT if the facts listed in this indictment are correct then SERIOUS crimes against our National Security have been committed and justice needs to be served.

I’m doing a lot of paraphrasing (again I was driving) but dude was pissed. Like shouting pissed. Worth checking that segment out.

Oh snap! I am home now and listening while typing up the above and at the 42 minute someone says ‘Yes, they are targeting him, but why is he giving them so much ammo?’.

The Republican shitstains that are lining up to lick Trump's taint is beyond disgusting. There are no words.

In a rational world, the Republican Party would be turning its back on Trump so quickly that the wind would mess his carefully coiffed hair.

There is a video snippet I’ve seen recently with Joe Walsh (a Tea Party Republican but has morals and values) and… Charlie Dent? (or some other moderate and also former Republican) and Walsh mentions how he thought he (Charlie) was the enemy back then.

And then Joe Walsh apologizes and admits he was wrong and concludes we don’t have two parties anymore. Parties have principles and beliefs. Cults have leaders. We have a party and a cult.

The other problem is the tens of millions of American who swallow the shit that comes from the MAGA cult.

It's pretty fucking evident that Donald Trump mishandled classified defense documents. The real and very scary question is who else had access and who he showed them to.

Any American who actually cares about their country should be deeply, deeply concerned and would be running as far away from the MAGA cult as they can.

I really don't know what the answer is. As long as morons keep showing up for the MAGA rallies and keep voting for these Republican sycophants, they're going to continue to spout their garbage.

The same can be said about Democrats on certain subjects like climate change for example. Tribalism is like that.

So did Hillary Clinton, yet she wasn't indicted. This is why Trump supporters think this is purely political. The other reason being that his trial will probably be around a year from now which is also in line with the Republican National Convention.

Where was this concern when Hillary Clinton did the same?

I used to get Matt Walsh mixed up with John Walsh who created/hosted "America's Most Wanted".
