The DC judge has stated she's going to set a trial date on the 28th so keep an eye on December and mid-late February (albeit there's precedent for other judges to defer on their dates to a federal trial so the Carroll civil suit would be prime to get kicked back to something like April or maybe even summer because the GA case will need a slot too.

It's presumed by observers that Smith REALLY wants the J6 trial to go first so it seems like early January would be ideal, GA in February and slide the Carroll suit back to April.

Who knows if there are other things afoot we don't know about, like something in NJ related to Bedminster.

Like many things Trump says or does, there may be enough of a fig leaf there for him/his attorneys to say that statement has nothing to do with the prosecutors in this case or the witnesses, but is just a general statement of his ideology or is directed to his political rivals.

The protective order that is being sought (as I understand it) would not prevent a statement like this either.
