Didn't read the thread, though know basic details about the 'tweet', and strongly suspect that OP and similar was Trump's target audience. And maybe at the margins people like me that get a twisted kick from the crying anti-trumpites, particularly those on social or pop. media compared to whom Trump can almost seem civil (for a bit of amusing irony mixed in). In particular, those that decry a poor state of discourse and attach prestige to the phoniness of articulate bullshit artists like the last guy having lost all sight of substance.

Johnson was a kook. A vote for him was in the same ballpark as a vote for Trump. Pure kookery.

So if Johnson had won a bunch of states, just how would his electoral college voters be selected?

The "cheeto" thing I understand though I find it repulsive.

    But "Mussolini"?

What exactly has President Trump really done that brings to mind a bloody fascist dictator?

If you think Johnson had a viable chance of winning then you're delusional considering he couldn't even get a decent number of people to make him the Republican candidate.

Oh noes he implied I might have pms like a woman. That would be insulting if I thought being a woman was a bad thing. Pro tip: don't try to insult a trans person by Implying they might be like their proper gender. That tends to only work on insecure cisgendered people and is obviously not insulting to those of that gender.

Now do not make me mail hipster man bun Ken to all the kids who live near you so they can terrify your easily triggered snowflake ass with them.

Which win would that be? When the Senate withdrew the Republican healthcare bill because 10 Republicans refused to support it? What do you want to bet after the July recess when Republican senators get torn a new asshole by pissed off voters that number grows even larger?

If by "viciously attacked him" you meant faithfully reported what the President said and did as well as how it was factually incorrect then, yes, otherwise you are full of crap.

The win is that Trump makes people who don't like him upset. So long as folks allow themselves to be trolled by Trump, his supporters will keep fapping themselves about him being in office.

So you are saying that Johnson had a preselected group of electors in each state ready to vote for him had he won those states as the "Ds" and "Rs" do?

Ok, if he wants to fap to his man child acting like a fool that is fine. In the mean time their bill to destroy health care as we know it and make 24 million people uninsured while bankrupting most hospitals is down to a 12% approval rating.

If he thinks that is winning, great, but reality based people call that losing.

    Edit: X-Daytoned.

Destroy healthcare? It's an unmitigated disaster as it stands. Those 24 million people have health insurance that is unusable. In other words they have no healthcare.

Dunno where you've been, but Lanzman one of the very few "I hate Trump and didn't vote for him" people who actually *does* speak out against most of his boneheaded decisions, or at least realizes that any momentary laugh at the liberals expense isn't worth uprooting our democracy.

Again, depends on the state, but basically yes. In CA the parties, not the candidates, select the electors, for instance, unless a candidate has no party. But yes, the LPCA had 55 electors ready to go vote for Johnson, probably mostly county chairs and recent statewide candidates like the Dems and Reps.

I've been living my life. Recently, work let up enough that I can skim over wordforge at lunch. Sometimes in the evening. You may be right about Lanz, but I don't read every post on here and haven't gone back months to check everyone's posts. But, what I have seen in the last few weeks being here, he's just as vocal in supporting Trump as has any of the other "Libertarians".
