This is all the dem's fault for being an alternative to the worst of the worst. If they would just get rid of all their standards and vote for the most extremist terrorist supporter this wouldn't be happening. At any rate the only way to win for the repugs is for Jordan to win because they will never get the extremists like MTG, Bobert, an Rapey McForehead to go with a moderate. The only other hope is for a few repugs to kill their election chances to get the government going and elect a dem. I figure a few dems will break loose and go for Jordan before that happens because Biden Bros are really there for their repug comrads.

I can't see any Democrats voting for Jordan. There are plenty who would vote for a moderate Republican for speaker, but no such creature exists anymore.

Be interesting to see if his margin grows or shrinks. Some holdouts were saying they thought this vote would be worse than yesterday’s. Some were willing to hold their nose and vote for him just to move the House forward but once it is clear he won’t make it won’t do it again.
