If we wanted to skip over some of this, trans kids need teachers, administrators, and medical people who are educated in trans issues as part of their studies on how to be licensed educators and pediatricians. If you had educated professionals who knew how to look after trans kids like they do with all the other kids you really do not need all that much else up to around high school. The puberty blockers are cheep and easy to prescribe and monitor as they already are used for other medical purposes. The hormones involved are Birth control and regular testosterone which are already given for other reasons and are not new. None of the actual medications are new things.

The hard thing that trans kids have to go through is being accepted. Being accepted as the proper gender may actually be more important than drugs, surgeries, or therapies. When we think about the therapy for the trans person, most of that is coming to terms with the problems created in society and being able to handle the societal backlash. If we all just went along with their gender identity wet would not need so much money for them because the medical issues are pretty well known and done.
