Somebody needed to start one, and I'm bored. Weather permitting, I'll likely vote for Obama today. Because I think he can win, Hillary can't.
I don't get to vote, as I live in a third world nation (Pennsylvania). I hear William Jennings Bryan is on the ballot here, though.
I think you're right on both counts. And I don't even say that as an Obama supporter. But since I'm not excited about the Republicans' offerings (especially if they put up McCain), I can't really say there are any significantly better alternatives.
Obama, what is best in life? To crush the Hildebeast, see her driven before me, and hear the lamentation of Bill Clinton!
I think that what would help the most to make an Obama presidency bearable would be the fond memories of the Clintons having it finally spelled out to them in clear and simple terms that winning two elections without ever managing to get a majority of the people to vote for you, and being so massively unpopular that the American people handed the House to the Republicans for the first time in 40 years, does not make you the inevitable and eternally-deserving rulers of America. And that trying to get around the Constitution by having successive co-presidencies with your spouse in no more acceptable than the Republicans trying to get around the Constitution.
It looks like we'll know who won WV's GOP Convention vote soon, Romney won round 1 with 41%, Huck was 2nd, McCain was 3rd and Paul was eliminated. http://www.wboy.com/story.cfm?func=viewstory&storyid=34426
Huck wins WV Apparently most of McCain and Paul's supporters jumped ship to join Team Fuckabee in the second round of voting.
It's a crappy day here...30 degrees and icy and raining outside...I just wanna crawl back under the covers, but I have an eye appointment anyway. *sigh* We should really have elections in the summer.
Not quite. The media is reporting that Huckabee won all 18 delegates. This is not true. Paul and Huck's people made a deal: Paul's 10% for 3 delegates (16+2/3%, for those without a calculator). http://www.wsaz.com/political/misc/15267036.html - it's buried in the middle of the SMS updates. Super Tuesday running total: Huckabee - 15 Paul - 3 McCain - 0 Romney - 0
http://wordforge.net/showthread.php?t=57907 I didn't do all that shit so you could start your own damn thread!!!
California has a closed primary so I couldn't vote for Obama. I voted for Ron Paul hoping to send a signal (admittedly a very small one) to whomever gets the nomination.
Some bad news today for Old Man McCain, James Dobson said he wouldn't vote for him in November but he would vote for Romney.
You're in one of the districts Paul actually has a chance to win today... maybe not such a small message after all.
I still get a kick out of the Roland Martin on CNN having the audacity to tell people that they should blame their own state lawmakers for the Democratic party disenfranchising Michigan and Florida
The best part is the Primary isn't until May. Someone needs to school me on why West Virginia has the party Primary three fucking months after the delegates have already made their decision on who to back.
I like Jim Dobson but he overplayed his hand when he fucked over Thompson. He influences a LOT of people and I gotta wonder how many people suppported Huck instead because they respected his word.
CNN's GOP Exit Polls for Georgia: Men (52%) Romney 32% Huck 31% McCain 30% Paul 5% Women (48%) Huck 32% McCain 31% Romney 30% Paul 4%
