If Obama manages to win the nomination, he's going to need Richardson to win over the Latino vote, which apparently is the largest voting bloc NOT voting for him. Which is a good thing, because Richardson would be a great VP. He balances out Obama quite well.
Actually, that would be white women. I like how the wife of the first "black" president's best chance is to hope for low turnout among African American voters
Oh really? Well I guess that's not surprising, but they'll vote for him if he's the nominee. White women love the black men... Latino's would be a bigger question mark.
Some of these votes are just bizarre. How did Obama win Kansas by such a commanding lead? (74% to 26%) Aren't there like 5 black people in the state? Same thing with Idaho. (79% to 17%) Minnesota. (67% to 32%)
Ahhh... A string of endorsements still lost him MA, but a relative wins him a state? I don't think that quite explains it, so still amazing to me!
Oh I'm not saying he would be less likely, I'm talking about the extreme lopsided victories in his favor w/o any real reason for it, like being a home state.
MA likes RomneyCare, which is basically identical to HillaryCare 2.0. They see that and vote accordingly.
True. There's talk amongst some pundits that Paul will hopefully do better here, but considering his track record here we'll have to just wait and see. I feel slighted that we're so far down the list that we have ended up with the piss poor choices left by the time the train rolls through. This cycle is no exception, in fact it's worse than usual. The thought of ANY of these candidates sitting in the oval office sends shivvers down my spine and makes baby Jesus cry. Clinton will do well here, but only by default.
Shit. I can not vote for McCain or Hillary. I don't think I can vote for OBama either. If there isn't a decent third party candidate, I may have to vote for the Zombie Reagan/Elvis ticket. As a sidebar, I wonder... Our laws clearly specify that a candidate for President must be American born and over 35. I don't think they dictate that the candidate must be alive. Furthermore, the law outlines succession if the President dies in office, but I don't think there is any provision for if the President is already dead when elected. OK. Actually, scratch Elvis. I want Zombie Teddy Roosevelt on the ticket. I just don't know who gets the top bill. I think a T.R./Reagan ticket, with the...shit. I just realized Reagan's had his two terms. Zombie T.R./Elvis in '08 it is!
I went to my polling place last night and they had two seperate blocks of booths, one for Dems and one for Republicans. I started walking towad an empty booth, and the election monitor stopped me by saying, "the empty ones are all Republican."
HOLY SHIT! You mean there aren't many Republicans that live in Hollywood!!!!!!!??????? (Or at least the part of Hollywood where struggling actors live.)
That's cause we'd need to have an actual Republican running in order to go vote (well, someone who actually governed in accordance with what Republicans CLAIM to be anyway)
