There's a case to be made that late 2nd trimester abortion could result in live birth.

The argument is the decision to render life support to the fetus is left to the mother and her doctor. Is doing nothing murder?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

In any case, I get first dibs on the afterbirth.

I usually assume that Republican senators aren't really stupid enough to believe the things they say; they're just liars who are hoping everyone else will turn out to be stupid enough to believe them. But I could believe Tuberville really being that dumb.

Fuck me. someone hasn't been paying attention.

I wouldn't trust most of these cunts to know not to eat their own shit.

Mind you, their voters lap it up, so you can't blame them for thinking it might be tasty.

There's a strong case to be made that the whole abortion shtick is just a cover and the real objective is to stall things long enough that King Trump gets to fill these spots with lackies like he wants to do with the civilian government.

I’d say that it has far more to do with the latter than it does the former.

I think he’d have given up on it by now if it was only about abortion.

The only reason for a late 2nd semester abortion is, if the fetus will be born with such significant birth defects that it wouldn’t live past the first day or days. In cases in which the mother’s life is at stake, and the fetus can be saved, doctors can and will do everything to keep the (now a baby) alive.

Despite misinformation, absolutely no one is letting babies die because a woman doesn’t want to be pregnant anymore.

Trust me on this one. I was done with the whole pregnancy thing by the 4th month in both cases. No one was willing to end it because I didn’t want to be pregnant.

Oh I agree. But there is more than one way to look at it.

Either way, I get the leftovers.

That is kinduv good news. Have they gotten rid of Manchin and sinema yet? Oh, they haven't you say. At least all the republicans will be on record fucking over the military rather than just tuberville playing the game. Good they are doing this right before the elections. Finally a fucking good strategy for a change. force this shit through and make them block in an election year. Will the senate repugs back tommy and trump so they can try to take over the military when he gets elected again, or will they cave and give the dems a huge win against trump.

I actually really like this and the timing.

Aw, Coach Fuckface has a little bipartisan buddy now! I hope they both choke to death on their own shoes.

Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) pledged Thursday to block a vote confirming Lt. Gen. Timothy Haugh as the new leader of both the National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command until the NSA releases information on alleged surveillance of Americans.

The blockade comes amid growing debate around federal surveillance powers on Capitol Hill, and after Haugh’s nomination has already been held up for months by Sen. Tommy Tuberville’s (R-Ala.) hold on all military nominations.

On the surface, it seems Wyden's reasoning is good, especially if it's limited to Haugh and not the blanket holds Tuberville was doing.
    Because fuck warrantless surveillance.

Traitor Tubby has been broken. He's dropped his final holds on 4 star appointments.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...ur-star-generals-tuberville-hold/71918249007/
WASHINGTON — The Senate on Tuesday confirmed the final group of military nominees impacted by the blockade Sen. Tommy Tuberville, R-Ala., held for 10 months in protest of a Pentagon abortion policy.

The upper chamber confirmed nearly a dozen four-star generals who remained in limbo after Tuberville earlier this month lifted his holds on military promotions for nominees three stars and below.

A DOZEN 4 star generals one asshole held up for nearly a year. This was never about abortion.

Interesting that it occurred at the same time Trump has been blocked from the Colorado ballot.

Traitor Tubby may be thinking about life after Trump, and not liking his odds if he stayed the course.
