Are we to expect now that any thread that mentions embarrassing things about Listkeeper, such as the fact that he has called some Wordforgers rapists will be closed? That was a pretty free ranging thread, and I can't see how it really touched on anything appropriate for the helpdesk. This is not the best way to convince people that rational decisions are being made.
Especially considering that the thread he linked to for continued discussion is locked... I'm sorry, but this just seems like a really poor decision. Of course, Uncle Albert agreed with it, though.
I assume Tamar will be along shortly to undo this. (Let's see whether I can get this post in before Listy closes this thread too! )

Look, Listy, I haven't flamed you. I haven't trolled you. I haven't really rocked the boat on these Mod Vs. Poster debates. Hell, I think rather fondly of you for so vociferously telling people I'm not actormike. However, I just don't get what's going on here. Has Elwood asked you to close threads in the RR pertaining to recent "teh drama!" events?
Like I said, the drama threads end today. Too many people are of the mind that they're free to engage in abuse rather than discourse, and their delusions aside, Wordforge is NOT about abuse.
(To Listy) I agree! The abuse is getting to be a bit much, first with Borgs and now with Elwood, when will everyone learn that they just need to keep silent and trust in the owner?
I have asked The Listkeeper to dial it back dramatically, but as for the rest of our correspondence, as I have said from day one, I will never discipline a staff member in the public fora. Again, that has been a constant and repeated fact since day one. Also, I have not pressed the issue, but I believe I've been a very gracious victim to this point. Oh, let us not forget that is it I that was wronged and many of you are only throwing more and more and more fuel on that fire. I've tried to be stern but fair to this point, but if we continue to push against each other, somethin' gonna have to give eventually and it ain't gonna be the guy paying the bills.

As far as I recall, nobody's said a bad thing about you, Elwood, and there's been, other than a few valid questions, nothing but sympathy. Much of the fighting since hasn't had anything to do with you and the Monkey situation, but with Listy being the Second Coming of Neroon...or more to the point, these days people are saying to Neroon, "Dude, you are acting like another Listkeeper."
I've bent over backwards, had my name dragged through the mud, been lied about more times than I can count, and yet I've stood by silently knowing that it'd all work out in the end. However, some people will just not let this go and, evidently, they resent that I'm not transparent in with my real life. Well, that's just to goddamned bad.

Will the threads be re-opened? Are you turning over listkeepers articulated policy regarding teh drama threads? Or are you just asking him not to be an asshole as he implements the policy?
Oh no, do a search for my name, excluding posts I've made, in The Red and Gray Rooms. I've been called everything but a white man by many people, some I thought I trusted. If this was just about Bear's behavior, I can handle that simply enough, but it ain't.
I think the most I have said about you is that you where a fool for getting involved with someone on the internet. Seeing how ugly that has turned out time and time again, I stand by it. If I have said anything else, I apologize. This is not personal Elwood, I consider you a friend still, even if you do not, this is about policy.
I've seen a lot of sympathetic statements toward elwood about the personal life side of this. Complaints have been about board management. ETA: most of us don't believe Cheekey Monkey's version of events anyway, and we've said that all along.
