Its why I got banned from there. Its pretty much a Democrat website. You can't say anything against Obama or his supporters, especially the gay ones.
Some were banned others simply left. Now that I'm gone there are two perhaps three conservatives left, only one of which would be what I'd call a prolific poster and that's Frontline. I remember a time in TNZ when someone posting a Daily Kos Diary entry or a thread from the Democrat Underground or some other obviously leftward biased source was laughed at by nearly all. When I left such posts were common place and treated as gospel. Nowadays it's just a bunch of Obama Cultists I was regularly trolled by a mod for sciencesake. Hell they tried to get me banned for having a TOTUS avatar and a link to the TOTUS blog in my sig. And the way they dog piled on TLS for his One Big Ass Mistake America av was disgusting. The more I think about it the stronger my opinion gets that TNZ needs an enema. Enough reminiscing. Excelsior! :smoking:
Look, people, TNZ leans left. The Red Room leans right. If it bothers you that much that TNZ leans left, then quit bitching about it and just don't go there if you have a problem with it. I'm hopelessly sentimental. When I think of the TrekBBS I think of 1) My announcing the birth of my daughter. 2) The 9-11 attacks and the frenzy of board activity then. 3) The glorious sparing during Bush vs. Gore. 4) My announcing the death of my mother. 5) The hoopla over Enterprise and how me (and others) were able to help alter opinion. By the way, the opinions regarding Enterprise (negative ones) being mentioned on the TrekBBS were actually mentioned in Entertainment Weekly magazine. Good times. Wordforge is good. And arguably technically superior when it comes to server and site issues.
That is a lie. I was a voice of dissent in hostile territory. I treated people as they treated me. If that didn't sit well then you had no one but yourself to blame. What? I realize that there is a long history of the denizens of TNZ deliberately misrepresenting and flat out lying about me, but come on.
Are you kidding? Half the time you'd contradict yourself just so you didn't have to agree with someone more liberal. Someone would point out the previous post where you said it and you'd flat out deny you said it. "Voice of dissent" my ass. You were contrarian for the sole purpose of inciting others. You did it just to do it, and were a troll. There's nothing wrong with being sentimental about all of that, but it's your responsibility to follow the rules as they are set. If you don't like them, you can go elsewhere. TNZ is a part of a private board and they have the full right to reject or accept anyone they so choose. I've said it before, but even though I get frustrated with some of the things you say, I like you, and if Bonz let you back in tomorrow I'd be fine with that, but you made the decisions that you did. That's how it goes. If I broke the rules here, Lanz would be in his full right to throw me out on my ass, and I could be indignant and whiny, but it would still be the results of my actions on the board and the rules I crossed repeatedly.

As for viewing your postings, you're surrounded by like minded folks. You have no reason to troll here. And this ladies and gentlemen is how a typical TNZ thread I participated in would go. Don't believe me go to Trekbbs search for posts and threads with the user name Callan. Although if you're that bored and hard up for something to do may God have pity on you.
I also encourage people to check on your posts in TNZ. It wouldn't take long for them to come across the crap you pulled. Post upon post of denial, even with other members citing link after link of you being contrary to your stated position. The reason I'm not doing is because I did it so damned much, and it was fruitless. You'd just skip right past it, so when you ask for links or examples, you'll get "no u", because it's the best you deserve for your stupidity.
The main problem with TNZ is that they listen to the whiners and the whiners end up ruling the board. There was one time that T'bonz was going to make it a truly first amendment type area separate from the rest of TBBS. I think she actually did this for like a week and then it went back to being controlled by the whiners again. How hard would it be for them to say "if you can't handle the heat, don't come in here" and then start banning the whiners rather than those who speak what's on their mind and don't mince words.
I went to TBBS one day and TNZ was not an option for me. No communication on it all from TBBS, just cut me out. I guess I made the powers that be unhappy.
