Dude!! Gingrich just low-key endorsed Hillary Clinton according to CNN. He just said "Trump is more unacceptable than Clinton."

Mike Pence has also broken ranks with Trump and officially endorsed Ryan in his primary race. :rotfl:

Hmmm.... The thought just occurred to me.... What if Trump is intentionally drive his votes low in order to get Gary Johnson and the Libertarians on the debate stage with him? Trump seems to excel at piling on a candidate in a multiple party debate format.

I haven't followed the emails stuff, what are the specific things that people are claiming the DNC did to rig primaries?

Trump is (if nothing else) an experienced businessman. Maybe he's going to use the threat of him quitting at the last minute (thus causing unheard of chaos) to get a pay raise! He's trying to get leverage in a sense. You just never know what might be going through his mind.

By all accounts, Trump is a remarkably crappy businessman. He tends to run scams, refuses to pay contractors, builds low quality products, gets a mediocre rate of return on his investments at best, and gets a terrible return on investment for anyone dumb enough to partner with him. He literally can't get a loan from an American bank.

He's good at marketing himself. Period. He can't move his businesses back because he doesn't own anything other than his real estate.

Having GOP insiders saying "We want to be ready in case he quits" when he has give zero indication that he is quiting just means they want to make it known they are unhappy with the nominee.

Perhaps you have failed to recognise the fact that said Wall Street firms crashed the economy less than a decade ago and that despite their almost total power they are the "creators" of very little, being parasitic on the real economy. I'm sure it's easy to have missed.

I probably did miss it because I wasn't trying to buy or sell a home in 2008. And I had an iron-clad job that I literally couldn't lose unless I showed up to work nude and out of my mind on drugs.

Not rig them per sey just give their chosen candidate the inside track, protect her at every turn, and deliberately try to handicap the other candidate. All while supposedly being an unbiased ref.

Hillary does very poorly in debates so Hillary's operative in the DNC (who was Hillary's 2008 campaign chair and now her co-chair again after getting fired from the DNC) eliminated 3/4th of the traditional debates and made sure the few remaining debates were scheduled at obscure times when few people would be watching. In 2008 Obama took the lead when he curb stomped Hillary in the debates so she didn't want that to happen again.

Next, on the eve of critical primeries which were leabing towards Sanders which Hillary had to win... Hillary's plant in the DNC illegally locked the Sanders campaign out of its get out the vote database thus insuring Sanders could not do the all critical voter contact and getting voters to the polls efforts. Hillary narrowly won those states even though a court later sided with Sanders and agreed the DNC had behaved unlawfully.

Lastly, and the leeked emails confirm this, the DNC was actively sending plants trying to smear or trip up Sanders on the campaign trail. They spread rumors which they leaked to the media that reminding people that Sanders grew up Jewish, not Christian, and that he is likely now an atheist. Yes, that hurt Sanders campaign in the bible belt. All this while the DNC was supposed to be a neutral party which helped all candidates equally and wasn't supposed to favor anyone in the race.

Basically they were dirty as fuck and sometimes even down right criminal and this was after the DNC deliberately compressed the primary schedule which was a move to help Hillary's campaign and make it harder for lesser know people, lile Sanders, to get a good head of steam behind them so they could break out the way Obama did in 2008.

    Donald Trumps problems are legion:
    1) He doesn’t listen to anyone aside from his kids and sycophants (Chris Christie, Sean Hannity, Eric Bolling, various others). A president needs someone who will say “Mr. President, you are wrong”. This was the role that James Baker played for both Presidents Reagan and Bush.
    2) He is undisciplined and talks too damn much. With the state of the economy, terrorism, Hillary Clinton’s repulsive personality, and a general desire for an outsider he could probably have a 50-50 chance of winning if he just shut his mouth for the next 90 days plus. But he won’t do that.
    3) He is incredibly provokeable an predictable. Have the Democrats or a member of the press make some kind of attack and Trump overreaction has become almost routine. This means he can be manipulated into acting like an even bigger dick than he is.
    4) He is too full of himself. People used to slam the Bush’s for “being born on third base and think they hit a triple”. But the Bush’s have nothing on Trump who actually manages to equate building some high rises with two parents losing their son in Iraq.
    5) There is no indication that he has learned a damn thing since he started his campaign. At all. Nor are there any indications that he’ll learn anything in the future.
    6) I’m not worried that Trump will do something disastrous with his hands on the nuclear buttons kind of thing. I’m worried that he won’t know the hell what to do if president regarding routine matters, won’t admit he won’t know, won’t have anyone that will tell him he don’t know, and won’t seek the advice of anyone who does know.

Well Trump didn't just develop his personality overnight. If the Republicans knew the type of guy he is, why did they even let him get his foot in the door in the first place? Trump is the best they can do?

Because the other GOP guys & gals were duds. Trump fired them up and excited them. Now that he's going off the rails on a crazy train, Republicans/Conservatives are having "buyer's remorse". But they will still vote for him because he's not Hillary. Not unlike why many people voted for Obama in 2008 - because he's not Bush. Sad really that elections boil down to the lesser of two evils - voters are becoming more cynical and jaded every cycle. :(

    Bush never ran against Obama.

Although I had no intention of voting GOP, I thought Rand Paul would've been great at putting conservative ideas up for debate... But let's face it... Trump got huge bounces in the primary when he proposed building a wall, called Mexican illegals "rapist" and advocating banning Muslims. My boss is convinced that the illegals are going to come into her home and rape her if Trump isn't elected. That's what separates Trump... His audacious racism.

There's no place for the culture warriors to go.

If the GOP splits into the "establishment" and the "tea party" then the former will become the "moderate" party and the tea party will be flooded with the disgruntled trumpites and the iconclast culture warriors and will become anathema to 80% of voters. Eventually (maybe 2 cycles?) the less hard core among the CW voters will bleed back into the middle party and a lot of them will have died off.

The latter is why you should be worried about the former. Trump's got a very predictable pattern to his behavior: He will say or do anything to make sure he has all attention focused on him. He is an expert at shifting the narrative, when it suits him.

If the economy goes into the shitter under him (as seems likely), he's going to be flailing around for something to shift attention away from the economy, since he's not the kind of guy who goes for deep consideration of a subject, he'll want something flashy to distract people. Nuking ISIS is not only flashy, but its quick. He gives the order, and a short time later, missiles are headed towards the Mid-East. In his mind, that equals "problem solved."

I wondered who was going to be stupid enough to fall for such blatant attempts to troll readers. There are a few reasons trump might quit the race now. All of them are medical. Saying it is rigged is not a reason for him to quit. It is an excuse for why he is losing, and for when he does lose. In your attempt to flame Dayton you have shown us how desperate and gullible you are.
