It isn't whataboutism. To say someone is accused of something may be truthful and yet highly misleading, if the accusation is not credible. Accusations unaccompanied by evidence should be ignored, and those with momentous consequences even more so.
As for children in cages, I don't consider a fenced-in detention area a cage. But if you do, we should be laying the blame for this policy at Obama's door. Trump, after all, was handed this abysmal situation by his predecessor.
What, exactly, did the journalists say with regards to giving illegals welfare for life and ending the enforcement of immigration regulations and customs regulations? I can only find the "coverage" one.
I agree with all of those and I’m a big proponent for enforcing the border. I guess I’m kind of like George Lucas after TPM wrapped.
Not to mention her own lawyer recently admitted that politics played a part in her decision to come forward with the accusation in the first place. But who are we kidding? They don't care about facts.
I thought I was the only one who saw that. That’s why I didn’t bother posting it. Yeah, it’s all about Roe v Wade.
No, we played things the other way of giving conservatives the benefit of the doubt that they weren't bigoted, murderous, and willing to traitorously sell the country down the river for an extra couple bucks. We played the game of "they love this country as much as us, they wouldn't hurt it". We saw what that got us. In every hole. Enough of that. Realizing people are full of shit isn't extreme, it's the most basic sense there is.
This. We know they're full of shit with the Cary Granting of the kids in cages and the whataboutisms when it's pointed out. We know they're unreliable if a woman ever stated she was raped, because they wouldn't believe her, instead choosing to believe the men in power instead. They can post as much as they like to the contrary, but it's all on record here on Wordforge, every single one of them who advocated every authoritarian and fascist position.
Firstly, not what I believe, but going into that with Paladin isn't worth my time because he'll do what he always does, which is sidestep it. Secondly, stop calling me a child rapist. I'm not fucking joking. I am not a public figure.
It’s because he’s right. You have no problem calling Kavanough a rapist with nothing to back it up, yet @Soma calls you a rapist and you get all but hurt. He’s showing the hypocrisy. Let’s repeat the mantra kids, If it weren’t for double standards, the left would have no standards at all.
I seem to have hit a nerve. Maybe you really are a child rapist? Nah, you're just an uneducated crybaby who doesn't know the first thing about logic. And a child rapist.
For a person who claims to have been a college level reader in middle school, you’d think a paragraph wouldn’t be too long to read. I guess Dicky really does suffer from the Dunning-Kruger effect.
He's not right, because he has no idea what he's talking about. I don't get into it with Paladin because he sidesteps these things every time we attempt to talk about them, usually with whataboutisms. That said, saying a public figure was accused of rape and sexual assault, which Kavanaugh was, and that evidence was presented to bolster that accusation, which it was, and that witnesses supported that claim, and had FBI investigations behind it, is one thing. What @Soma is doing is accusing another member of the board of child rape. A private member, on a private board. It's a disgusting accusation, one with whom you have agreed because you utterly lack the ability to understand context, and the foolhardiness to throw your name right in with him.
College level reader isn't that high a bar. The fact that I was a "college level" reader in 4th grade was the onliest thing that kept me from riding the short bus.
I think he's entering gturner/Ramen territory, myself. You see this, @Soma? Being a troll is one thing, and usually tacitly ignored as long as you actually take part in the community, but all you do is troll. Calling people stupid, idiot, a bigot, yeah, we all do it. Making public accusations and then doubling down on them when asked to stop? You don't cross that line with anyone. Back off.
