Trumpite Americans, when will you finally acknowledge that you’re traitorous assholes?

My actual response is this. The FBI has a history of corruption. Everyone should know this by now. It didn't end with J. Edgar Hoover's death. Trump shouldn't paint every one of them with the same brush. A majority of the agents are probably good people just doing their jobs; however, it's obvious to me that there are some higher ups that try to politicize things instead of just doing their jobs. They are not Joe Fridays. We know that they play fast and loose with the rules and probably break the law at times in order to get certain people they are attempting to get. Generally speaking, I think they likely do a lot to protect us from terrorists and the like, but I don't blindly trust them and neither should anyone else. All of that being said, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if we disbanded the FBI and gave that job to the US Marshalls who can pretty much do the same damn thing.

What the FBI really has a history of is cultural conservatism, and using its power to go after liberals and hinder social progress. Which makes the Trumpers' whining all the more laughable.

    More right-wing political violence ...

Someone in New Mexico has been shooting up the homes and offices of various Democrats. From the NYT:

The Albuquerque Police Department provided a timeline of the shootings on Thursday. It said the police had been called that morning to the law office where State Senator Moe Maestas works after gunshots were heard in the area. Three shots were fired at 11:41 a.m., but there was no damage to the building, the police said.

On Tuesday, at least eight shots were fired at the home of State Senator Linda Lopez, the police said.

On Dec. 11, the department said, “more than a dozen gunshot impacts” were found at the house of Debbie O’Malley, a Bernalillo County commissioner who left office at the end of the month because she was limited to two terms.

On Dec. 4, eight rounds were fired at the home of Adriann Barboa, also a Bernalillo County commissioner, the police said.

The police said in a statement late Thursday that they were also examining whether shots that were fired in December at the former campaign office of Raul Torrez, who had just been elected New Mexico’s attorney general, were part of the pattern.

(Before you ask, of course the NYT found a way to "bothsides" this, but you can read the story if you want to see how.)

A suspect is now in custody.

Before that he was the Section Chief for Cyber Counter Intelligence for FBI HQ and the Chief Counter Intelligence section for Asia. For 8 years he was the field supervisor for the Counter Intelligence section in the Washington DC field office.

They better look into every single thing this mofo ever did.
