In this proposed second term, Trump wants to give himself the power to fire any employee of the executive branch. Is the supreme court likely to stand for that?

I am pretty sure clarence thomas and the handmaid will. It seems that both of them are still subject to the will of old white men. Hopefully someday we can convince them to be free, but I think there might be some lingering damage.

I'd say likely not. The majority of the court now are originalists, and while I certainly disagree with their focus, especially as it bears to rights that we've seen for decades such as abortions being compromised, they aren't likely to get a majority vote to approve expansion of the imperial presidency.

A couple would support it, to be sure, such as Thomas, maybe Gorsuch or Kavanaugh. But I have a hard time seeing them getting to 5 votes on that.

Depends how he does it. If he managed to get the various Civil Service Acts going back to the Lloyd-LaFollette Act repealed, I think they'd go 8-1 for that. Trying to do any of that by executive order seems like a 7-2 or 8-1 in the opposite direction.

This is the convoluted plan of a comic book villain. Trump is actually a corrupt evil film icon. Unfortunately the batman seems to be more worried about flying his dickship into space than fighting evil.

Kid Rock has more sense than Trump. He just should have taken it one step further. 45 wasn't qualified to be handling those issues either.

Trump's former campaign manager, pardoned felon Paul Manafort, was taken off a plane for a revoked passport at Miami Int'l Airport.

He was traveling to Dubai. It is a non-extradition country.

Dubai is also notable for being the location where the Russian oligarchs who fled have gathered.

Back in the early '00s I had a boss who claimed that he'd been a business partner with Trump. I had no way of knowing what he said was true or not (supposedly, he's the Frank that Trump gets into a massive argument with in The Art of the Deal), but he hated Trump with a passion, and nothing he said about Trump has rung false in the years since. One of the things he said about Trump was that every deal Trump did was structured so that everyone else took all of the risks, while Trump took all of the profit.
