Mexico has a wall. On it's southern border.

And it has some of the strictest laws on the planet regarding illegal aliens.

But that's only if you try to stay in Mexico. If you're going to America they don't seem to care.

They're also one of the poorest countries on the planet.

Maybe Mexico doesn't have a wall/fence because they know nobody actually wants to stay there, so they are just passing through. They will get through that Swiss cheese US border with minimal effort soon enough and be out of their hair. When the US becomes a 3rd world country we can take our southern border fence completely down, knowing they will be Canada's problem. The border between the US and Canada is pretty much non-existent anyway (yes, I've been through it) so any southern neighbors should shoot through the US with a quickness.

It was just never worth the effort for Mexico and Guatemala to even put up signs saying where their border was except at road crossings. Driveways and trails, not so much.

You have to control the economic migrants or everybody in a country that's not in the top 15% by per capita income will just flood into the 15% of countries that are. So you'd have half the population of Bangladesh moving to the UK, getting voting rights, and being the majority population that elects the majority of ministers in Parliament. Shortly after instituting partial sharia, they'll start addressing an economy where per capita income has dropped in half, and a food crisis because English farms can't support 150 million people. And of course if they didn't fix the British mistake of open borders, they'd get overrun with Liberians, Ethiopians, and Nigerians.

The UK would just be remembered as an a crossroads that got overrun by waves of migrants, much like many of the once-glorious kingdoms in central Asia or the Middle East.
