You're a welder in flyover country. WTF do you know about anything outside of welding, corn, and cows? I can't recall you posting anything here about your life experiences that had any kind of meaningful impact on your life at all. In fact, you hardly discuss your life at all. Almost as if it isn't worth talking about.

    Or, (take your pick):

    1) it's nobody's fucking business

    2) I'm not dumb enough to hand out ammunition to troll or "doxx" me

    3) I'm not some narcissistic attention whore, feeding on sympathy and validation

As I've said before, if I took a poll of every lifeform in the galaxy, and you lost in a landslide, you'd still think you were right, so your appeals to authority/popularity are a lie too.

Well, we know that we can eliminate 2 and 3, because you are both of those things, otherwise, you wouldn't be here. As for 1 & 4, yeah, so? All of us drop incidental things about our lives from time to time, that illuminate who we are and what we do with our lives. You know, things like being in the store and having an interaction with somebody, or spotting something unusual, etc. Except you. You don't seem to do that. In fact, all you ever seem to do is rage about social issues that, for the most part, don't impact you at all. Trans issues? Not something you have to worry about, unless you're trans, or know someone who is, but you still feel compelled to comment on it.

You know, now that I think about it, you make an awful lot of statements like, "If I met someone like this in real life" or "If I had to do this," but never, "Once I had a boss who tried to," almost like you don't have any kind of experiences interacting with people and being out and about. You're always raging about how awful "pink-haired" people are, but I can't recall you ever posting anything about dealing with one IRL. I'm pretty sure you'd be justifiably pissed off if some drooling idiot thought they knew your job better than you did. (You know, they wanted you to weld a piece of cast iron to a hunk of aluminum, or something equally impossible.) Yet, you have no problem telling people who have a life experience vastly different than yours, that they should STFU and do what you think they should. That's worse than the drooling idiot, because if they're your boss, at least they've met you and had some IRL interactions with you. Telling someone who is different than you how they should live their lives, when you don't know them, or anyone like them IRL, is a bit of a dick move, IMHO.

    Yeah, no.
I've seen how you treat people with superior knowledge and experience on a subject.
    Nothing earns your respect.
    Nothing.
Either you're just a bitter twisted up ball of hate, and a hypocrite in defense of it, when no defense is needed for being an asshole.
OR! You're willing to kayfabe that character to the bitter death.
    To me, it's a difference that isn't a difference.
I round off the remainder for that particular equation.

Right, because obscure message boards are great places to seek attention.

I tend to assume at least half of those anecdotes are fictional.

    Hi, @Amaris

Or if I some day face consequences for refusing to validate someone's gender identity.

Almost as if I have no tolerance for petty bullshit and do not abide it in my life.

I am not telling anyone how to live. I AM refusing to allow them to dictate my priorities or constrain my freedom to their feelings.

 Because it's a safer space than the wider internet. You can say shit here that no one, who might be in a position of authority over you, will ever see. So you don't have to worry that if you post something about you being all big and bad, there will be any repercussions from it. Heck, not even a coworker popping in to say, "The fuck you did!"

Yeah, so? Is your life so uninteresting that you don't have any examples that you feel the need to interject? Except for Boy Scouts and popcorn, which you only felt the need to comment on after I pointed out that you never talk about incidental things. :corn:

I'd wager the odds of that happening are exactly zero for anything IRL. You don't know anyone like that, you don't randomly encounter anyone like that, and you can't imagine what the world is like that has people like that in it.

And yet, no stories about you quitting jobs where that happened to you. Seems more like to me that you've never had to deal with such situations. Not even a "I saw X at a job I was applying to, so I knew that the place was going to be nothing but a bunch of liberal bullshit, so I left without even talking to anyone." If you're always at "go-time" when it comes to injustices, then you ought to have them to relate. And considering how vocal you are here about "not wanting to put up with bullshit," I'd think that if you had some real-world examples of you actually doing this, you'd mention them here. Logic suggests, you've never had such experiences then, and were never even in a situation where such things might have happened to you.

You mean like when you get upset about teachers not telling the parents of a child in their class that the child doesn't want to be called by their given name? For whatever reason. Growing up, I had a friend in school whose legal name was Damien. He was born in the late 60s, so the Omen movies weren't a thing, and once he got older, he decided that not going by Damien was what he wanted to do, so he asked everyone to call him "Damon." He didn't really care if you called him Damien, but on all his school work, and when he introduced himself, he used "Damon." Even the teachers called him that. Does it really matter if his parents know about this? (Not that either of them would have cared, for various reasons.)

1960's UA would be scared shitless of black history being taught in school, and he'd call it some euphemistic name, and act like it was an evil commie plot.
Oh, wait, 2020's UA is already like that.
