less of carl's puberty and rick's whining. more michonne the amazing zombie killing machine please. add a liberal dose of daryl and we're golden.
So no comments from last night? My take on the Sergeant is that he is a challenger for Rick. I don't mean that in a governor kind of way, but in a "this would be Rick if he wasn't bat shit crazy" kind of way. Oh and can anyone get Rick a razor and some clean clothes?
Michonne is continuing her trend of becoming one of the best characters on the show. The new guys are all comic book style caricatures (indeed they're ripped straight from the comics) but I'll give them a chance based on how they redeemed Michonnes character. When she first appeared with her walker escorts and katana it was over the top cartoony, but as they've explored her character it became clear that she knew she was over the top, it was a persona she adopted to seperate this new existance from the one she had known.
Okay, it's been the first half of season 4 ago, but it needs to be said. ANTIBIOTICS DON'T CURE VIRUSES!!!!!!!!!!! For fucking SHAME "Walking Dead", writers. Here we are, with a real life doomsday clock over our heads with antibiotics losing effectiveness from over-use, and here's a TV show pimping misuse. That really stuck in my craw. I tried to hand wave it away, but damn it, I'm annoyed.
My daughter loves this series. My wife and I loathe it but we tolerate our girl watching it. At least the language is not all that bad. But personally I'm very much against zombies, vampires and their ilk.
Isn't Jesus technically a 2000 year old Jewish zombie? I'm not sure if I like seeing everyone's stories separately or if I'd rather see little bits of everyone in each episode. It's feeling kinda like LOST now.
I've liked the episodes focusing on one character/a few characters but I'm ready for the group to get back together.
Speaking of that, did you know Nicholas Cage is starring in the next movie? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2467046/
I read the first of the series but lost interest after that. If you really want a cool version of Revelation, read the "Lamb Among the Stars" trilogy. Lots of space battles in "The Infinite Day".
It takes some pretty good writing to get you to feel relief/satisfaction about a little girl getting shot in the head.
That was powerful as all get out. My heart leapt up into my throat. My wife actually had tears in her eyes
Just watched it. Wow. Just...wow. Wonderfully, wonderfully soul-crushing. Superbly acted all around, but special high marks for the girl who played Lizzie. Wonderful performance, a nicely nuanced and believable kind of crazy. Too bad we won't be seeing her again on this show.
