It is a lie. He was always this way. This was always what he was about. The resentment coming from people like paladin, oldfella, federal farmer, Uncle albert, and all of rightforge is because the world is changing around them. They are not changing, but the world is changing around them and they cannot and do not want to change. The reality is a lot of people around here are changing with the tide too. You have no reason to be opposed to other races, sexuality, cultures, or genders. The right was always like this, only the main mass of society was running with them like a current. But now society is shifting the way it wants to go again. It is looking to diversity. It is seeing the others are actually quite fun and interesting and wanting to get to know them.

I saw one of my best friend's black family in high school. They were fucking awesome and fun. I saw comedians like Pryor, murphy, and at that time cosby and they were cool and I wanted them in my world much more than I wanted the racists. Because of all of that it made me want to see more, and know more of the truth. I am not alone in that. Woke is not a crime or bad word. It is being able to see the true people around you rather than the reflections you get from the opinions of others. We awoke from their dreams and lies to discover the others are awesome and we want them in our world.

Paladin does not think that way. He wants to go back to his dream. He wants to go back to the whispers and rumors other people told him about the others because it made him feel good about himself. They told him he was superior and he did not even have to try to beat the others as long as he supported the right. As long as he supports the right he has security in his place in power and that makes him feel secure and safe. He knows, he is probably on the backside of the human curve. He knows he is not that bright. He knows he is not that strong. He knows that in the world he set up that his legacy makes him strong. He also knows that legacy is made the fuck up, and if he wants to keep it he has to back all the other people who believe in those fantasies.

You will never get through to him because your world has nothing to offer him. He is not special in it, and he sees no value in himself so he knows in his heart no one else is going to find value in him. I would say that is not true as there are many people on the left who would value him anyway, but he cannot imagine that because he sees no value in himself except in a stack of lies created by his ancestors about his skin color and heritage.

Nah, it's all a means to an end. He'd support Jeffery Dahmer if it lowered his taxes, and defend Charles Manson's crimes if it helped his stock holdings.

Paladin's looking out for Paladin, the rest of the planet can burn.
