Dolly Parton "a little bit conservative"? Oh, honey, you know absolutely nothing of which you speak (and I'll not even get into Johnny Cash, The Chicks, or some of the others). She's a big fan of LGBTQ+ rights. According to folks I know who've worked in the music industry here in TN, there's a reason she and her husband have an "open marriage" with no kids. I'll let you ruminate on why that might be. She's also used her wealth to provide opportunities for folks in various marginalized communities. Trust me when I say that when there's a full accounting of the stuff she's done and the causes that she's supported, there's not a conservative in modern America who'd claim her as one of their own.

What else do we do? Do we just give every black person a head start on everything? How's that fair? That's going to cause a lot of problems. Where's the personal responsibility? There are black people who grow up in the hood, see the bad things that happens to other blacks and they say nope and work really hard and go to college.I don't mind giving people a hand up, but black communities are going to have to raise up themselves if they ever want a fighting chance. We can give them the tools to do it, but they have to do it. That goes for everyone. How about stop thinking as a collective and start thinking as individuals.
