What are some of the most ignorant things you've dealt with since Orlando?

I had a Mosin. It was nowhere as bad as my Springfield 1903. A day at the range, a bruise on the shoulder. :D

I was talking about Americans in general. We cry, change our avatars on FB, both sides gnash teeth and then we do the same shit again for the next one.

Obama has made sixteen speeches for gun shootings in seven and a half years. That's one every six months. Does that sound insane to anyone else?
    Edit: to Dayton

No, it doesn't. He's letting hundreds of jihadists come here just so he can give more speeches. He loves giving speeches. Unfortunately they're vacuous and stupid, but he still likes giving them.

Insane? No. Pathetic and hopelessly ideological? Yes.

He could have spent those seven and a half years looking for politically workable solutions rather than attacking the Second Amendment.

My defense of my rights is not responsible for his lack of progress on the matter.

He never attacked the 2nd amendment. You're a smart guy Paladin, but I seriously think you have some sort of mental issue about this. The President has not done one thing to remove guns from your hands.

Except to call for removing guns from our hands in sixteen major speeches.

You remind me of when Robert Kennedy's Justice Department was accused of bugging Martin Luther King. RFK emphatically denied that MLK had ever been bugged by the Justice Department.

And he was telling the truth. Technically.

    MLK wasn't bugged. He was wire-tapped. There's a difference.

Similarly, "not confiscating your guns" does not equal "not undermining the Second Amendment."

No, Obama hasn't sent agents to kick down my door and take my guns away. He would never be able to get away with that.

But he is for banning commonly used defensive weapons, and that is taking them away from future generations.

The war on the Second Amendment is a war of attrition, of erosion. I can't believe for a second you don't realize this, but if you don't, I can't help you.

I live somewhere that I've watched it play out over the last few decades. I've seen it. Claims that Second Amendment rights are not being systematically eroded are hogwash.

You really think its wise to make policy in the aftermath of a tragedy (or in this case an atrocity).?

Major changes in public policy (especially those with constitutional implications) should come only when the emotions and passions of the moment have died down and reason has a chance to drive the debate.

Because he can't, do to our system of checks & balances. That's why we have such a great country. You can only be so harmful until somebody reels you back in.
