What weapons have you killed with lately?

For me, only one: an 1896 Swedish Mauser. :) Got two deer.

    How 'bout you?

Last thing was a woodchuck with a .44 mag Remington repro of a Winchester 92, 90° deflection shot at about 10 yards as he ran laterally. That was probably around the turn of the century

Alas, my tally sheet has been sadly empty for lo, these many years. I think the last deer I bagged was in 97 or so.

I am not a man. :weep:

I don't use the "heavy" loads on deer. I use a simple 400gr jacketed hollow point. At 100 yards it's only smoking along at 1800ft per second and toting 2100ft lbs of .458 goodness. :ramen:

Hmmm. You use a scope, and a buffalo bullet.

I use a 6.5mm round, and open sights.

The difference being, you want to hit him in the chest, shoulder, or neck.

I want my bullet to impact between the 7th and 8th rib, eight inches below the spine.

Being both a SWAT marksman and a butcher lets me know exactly where to put my bullets to end the animal's suffering as close to instantly as possible without damaging any of the tasty bits or the trophy portion.

    :)

My old job would make you green with envy. When I was in the Air Force stationed at Eielson AFB (Fairbanks AK) I loaded bombs/rockets/flares/30mm/etc. on Warthogs/Thunderbolts.
Man, that GAU-8 30mm rocks the house! 200,000 foot-pounds of muzzle energy (that's 20 WWII style 50 cals of energy!)
And the A-10 can turn 180 degrees in less than half a mile - they do that thing where they turn on their side and basically do a loop-de-loop tilited 90 degrees to the ground.
