I would say that there is nothing wrong with that person in principle. I don't believe and have never believed that Paedos are unnatural, and I entirely agree with @Diacanu's sentiment that provided they don't act on their sexual attraction then there is nothing in principle wrong in them. I believe their sexual attraction is no different from you or I preferring, say, a different ethnicity or body types of women from one another, for instance. I mean, is it really any different from these people who have sexual attractions to things like cartoon characters or balloons? It is clearly naturally occurring and defining age is part biological but also part a social construct given the varied speeds at which humans mature. Is a 22 year old who is attracted to a 15 year old really that that more "abnormal" or different from a 50 year old attracted to an 18 year old? I'm not convinced they are is. It's just unfortunate for these people that the object of their sexual attraction happens to be someone who is innocent and vulnerable so if they act on that attraction that's when the wrongdoing and immorality occurs. Indeed, it's a fact that most paedophiles who undergo physiological treatment do not get past their attractions and desires, and that suggests to me that it in inherently is simply another form of sexual attraction, one that is neither a choice or something that can be switched off/cured.

I think there is a significant misunderstanding of paedophilia because the inherent revulsion in us of paedos who act on their desires is such that the conversation is concentrated on that and not what causes it in the first place. But a paedo isn't a criminal until he acts on his urges and I'm not convinced that prior to doing so that person is legitimately mentally ill or makes a conscious choice to have such attraction.

A cure applies to illnesses. Homosexuality isn't an illness. Saying it can be cured implies that it is. Saying what isn't true deceives.
