It's like the break room in the job you've had for years, or a soap. You come in a year later and the same conversation's still going on.
The William Bell soaps on CBS in particular were notorious for that. Who needed to record The Young and the Restless as a teen in school when you can catch up to the nothing that's happened since Labor Day during Christmas break? Still, gimme more of that than what goes on today of plotlines beginning and ending more quickly than the new WF expat circlejerk at TK.
Credibility is in the eye of the beholder. Wordforge's favorite lazy dodge is to attack the source and ignore the substance. Both sides do it. Doesn't matter if something comes from Huff Po or Breitbart, can you refute the ideas behind the article?
Poor Margaret, how would she entertain herself without me? I realize she amuses herself with her fictions, but really, is she ever going to get over her "pursuit" fantasy? Ok Maggie, yes, you're being stalked. Do you feel relevant again? Yes, Wordforge would be better if I held the reins.
NPR is routinely attacked for it's liberal bias. PBS hasn't been relevant in terms of national news since the McLaughlin group went under. I don't think it was relevant even before that.
Who checks the "fact checkers?" What are their qualifications? A degree from the University of Google? One of the funnier things I heard during the election was Hillary telling people to go to her campaign propaganda site to "fact check." Really? Truth is, the "fact checking" cottage industry was nothing but another level of liberal propaganda, set up to discredit conservatives.
Deaf ears, Zombie; they can't *see* the bias, they conjure those sources are centrist because they lack a sufficiently broad perspective, or it strikes them as centrist because they are so far left, either ideologically, or through the biases of uniformity in the sources and people from which they absorb info.
In Flasher's world, 2+2 might as well be 5 or even 3.14159 because he lacks the ability to prove otherwise. And gravity is only a hypothesis that cannot be proven. Which is why he keeps banging his head on the ceiling while insisting there is no ceiling because there are no facts to prove such a thing exists.
Our nation is more partisan and polarized than any time since the Vietnam era. Both sides exist inside partisan media bubbles. The arrogance of folks like Garamet is in their belief that only their bubble contains "truth." The Left tells itself they are intellectually enlightened, in pitched battle with ignorant neanderthals. Christianity is their villain, while islam (which is totally anathema to progressive values) is the oppressed victim.
All you have to offer is hilarious strawmen and silly assumptions born of ignorance. Was there ever a time when you had any substance? And FYI, it's the Regressive Left that constantly lies and cherry-picks info to further their narratives. The entire PC agenda is predicated on the promotion of half-truths and outright fabrications.
Sez the guy who claims that fact checking is a leftist conspiracy. Prove something...anything...without using facts.
Liar. I've never said that. Please respond to what I've actually written, not your fabricated strawmen.
You speak of "fact checking" as if it's somehow independent of the humans who are researching the alleged "facts" and writing the summaries of the findings. Conspiracy? No. But the "fact checkers" are all liberals, and their "fact checking" amounts to nothing more than trying to debunk every conservative position & argument. You might as well read the DNC website and Democratic Underground. But we all know why you'll deny this. Next you'll claim the mainstream media doesn't have liberal bias.
