You do know that if I confirm or deny anything anyone here can then take that as "permission" to post anything they want about recent events in the Red Room. Thus I'm not even commenting in My Diary tread..
Ten Lubak sure is free with people's user names on other forums as well as here. I wonder what the mods on both forums will think of that?
So let me get this straight, Dinner got tired of having his ass handed to him here on the refugee question, so he went to TrekBBS, where he will likely find an even less sympathetic ear?
The guy actually comes into TNZ saying "well you know I'm a very progressive social liberal, look at me, blah blah blah..." So I said, wait a minute....that doesn't jive with this...... ......and the million other similar comments he's made. Now he doesn't want to stand by his own words and his panties are in a knot.
How does that make him not a social liberal? Wouldn't any true liberal be opposed to the violent anti-thesis of liberalism? Are liberals supposed to be welcoming to Nazi war criminals and Khmer Rouge murderers so they won't look "bigoted"?
@shootER Ok, what about him posting about Dayton's personal info here which mods have explicitly deleted in the past and said is off limits yet which Ten Lubak has posted again anyway? That seems a clear violation. Or are we picking an choosing favorites again? There was a public warning given and he broke it. Time to do what the mods said they would do.
To paraphrase @gul , "that's not a reveal in the way that posting [a link to the offsite information] is a reveal. I don't think we can say nobody can claim somebody else is an unemployed assistant football coach. I mean, what kind of rule would that be?"
The funny thing about that, is Dinner himself made several similar posts in the thread with all the edits. I wonder whether he remembers that. Perhaps he was drunk. Needless to say, we didn't warn him for those accusations.
It would be a logically consistent one. If you say don't link or mention something someone has not revealed of a personal nature, and even threaten people with banning if they do (which you guys did do in the other thread), then ignore it when someone does exactly that with the exact same information... Well, it is pretty obvious that everyone is not playing by the same rules and that personal information can be leaked as long as the target is someone the mods do not like. This really is hypocrisy, dude. We all know damn well you would be banning Dayton if these was him but a poster you like breaks the rules and then you guys play favorites. I am beginning to think rightforge and Volpone had a point when they decided to leave. How about a little consistency here to prove them wrong?
I like Dayton. I don't agree with most of his views, but I wish him no ill. And, as @gul pointed out, you did the same thing in the edited thread that you're accusing Lubak of doing. If we ban Lubak, we'd have to ban you as well.
Ten Lubak posted about Dayton when mods previously punished a poster for revealing such personal information which Dayton had not ever revealed himself. The mods then threatened to ban people who brought it up again. Well, Ten Lubak blanta tly brought it up again and used it to troll Dayton. So how about a little consistency and follow through on the part of the mods?
Well technically they have not done anything (yet) to me regarding my link to that 14 year old information about Ed629.
He specifically mentioned the information mods deleted and warned people not to mention. Play it how ever you want as I am just seeing how honest or dishonest you mods are in the application of the rules.
I have a feeling that Ten Lubak's comment was just "off the cuff" and not really intended to be revealing.
You really are stupid, @Dinner. We can't ban somebody for calling Dayton unemployed anymore than we can ban somebody for calling you a drunk. Either claim might be true, or might not. What happened in the other thread is that somebody posted a link to an actual document regarding something that mentioned Dayton by name and had real life consequences. If you can't tell the difference, then you might want to apologize for all the times you did just what Luback has done here.
If Dayton does not want to peruse it then, fine, it seems an extremely clear rules violation to me and I am glad you have cleared up that the rules do not apply to everyone equally.
No, in the big thread from a few weeks ago which @gul had to edit the shit out of to remove all the specific references.
I'm surprised he went over there to talk about THAT subject of all things. TNZ is a very far left crowd and Dinner's stance on refugees puts him in line with republicans. At this point they actually think he is one. The irony is simply delicious.
