Decriminalizing the sale of sex but not the purchase would work, yeah. But then you'd have johns potentially getting robbed by unscrupulous sex workers. It was a big story a few years ago that the rapper Cardi B used to drug and rob men that tried to hire her for sex, and she never faced charges for it. How could she, when her victims would have to admit to committing a crime themselves? Oh yeah, a good example of decriminalization is when Canada decriminalized sodomy rather than legalizing it. They didn't bring in new sodomy-related regulations clarifying how and when it would be permissible, they just took the crime of sodomy off the books.
Yeah, but sodomy isn't commerce. (Not inherently, anyway.) Prostitution is commerce. Regulating commerce to prevent exploitation is something I'm generally cool with.
love, libertarian style. I'm also reminded of the Ferengi practice of womb leasing, but acknowledge the trumpian slipperiness of that slope.
My friend runs a rub n'tug that caters to various niches The business is classified as a "spa", meaning she has no more or less interference (mainly health code and sanitation) than a gym.
