Wordforge Is Slow Again - Part II: The Revenge

I just restarted the container. Looks like it's running faster to me. Responses seem very quick now. What are you lot seeing?

It's off and on for me, but I do notice more "on" than "off". I'll have to give it a longer test to say for certain.

All right, I'm going to do this layer by layer. When you encounter problems, check out http://www.wordforge.net/static.html and note how long it takes to load. It should be pretty much instant. If it's not, tell me how long it takes and how fast and reliable your connection is, and what time you tried to access the page.

It seems to be working quite good for now! Pages take maybe 2 seconds to load. I had a hiccup about a minute ago where it took maybe 5 seconds, but it might also be my end.

The link above loaded instantaneously after that.

Been getting significant hangups for about the last ten minutes, but the page you linked there loads almost instantly.

Ah. I didn't read the whole post. No. The board was working fine.

Now, at 20:10 I started to notice pronounced slowdowns in replying to threads, but I'm still able to get here quickly and easily.

Arghhh....

It's taking minutes to load.

Confirmed. Noticeable slowdown starting around 2215 Central.

K. Now that I'm off vicodin, I'll try tweaking MySQL a bit.

Whatever you did, it's running much faster now.

Unfortunately, I haven't actually done the tweaking yet.

Going to right now though; board may be offline/slow/unresponsive/DB errors for up to 2 minutes.

Is it my ISP or has Wrodforge been very glitchy lately? Especially tonight?

It's hard for me to tell from work, since the connection there is for shit, but this morning from home it seems kinda spotty. Lemme look.

Everything looks normal, tho there was a spike in activity last night.

Wordforge has been both difficult to access and quite slow for at least the last hour or so.

I've been having a hell of a time posting my D&D summaries. I don't know if it's the length affecting it (that's what she said) but it is taking a really long time to reply to a post. Surfing the site seems fine, however.

For me, the site loads fast, but posting replies is slooooooooooooooooooooooow.

SQL crapped out this morning but re-started automatically. That might be what you saw.

Board has been hanging up on me pretty badly since about 10:30am Central today.

The board cornered me in a dark alley, beat the crap out of me and took my wallet. Inside were my ID and credit card (with a balance of 11 cents), a ticket stub from seeing Star Trek XI, a Winn-Dixie card, and a packet of sweet tarts.

OK, what the fuck was that?

Gateway timeouts?

A gateway timeout is normally a problem on your end. You go through a router which acts as a "gateway," and it is timing out.

Funny how it wasn't happening with any other site.

Agree about the down time but right now WF is working just fine for me.
