Can't believe I'm saying it, eh?! Your boy Fillion is doing a good job and I dig the stories so far. I'm truly gonna keep watching. But Firefly still sucks!!!
I mean I guess if you have a giant gaping vagina it's a pretty good show, but if you aren't equipped as such you have little choice but to recognize its utter crapitude.
I'm loving it. they are clearly writing to his acting strengths and the stories are clever enough to set it apart from the run of the mill procedural stories. One thing is clear though, this is NOT a "buddy" show in which the leads are equals - it's clearly Fillion's show because the never follow her off duty.
Maybe she's the season's mystery for Rick and we only get to know what he knows to keep it fair, in the grand who-done-it tradition?
I thought it would be goofy but its not. Fillion portrays a sharp guy. They don't overdo it when he wants to be funny. His advice is strong. The cases are not your average simple minded crime. You don't know who dun it till Castle figures it out. I appreciate the minimal comedy. So I think his new show will clearly have more than 11 eps.
She's much less grating than she was in the pilot, I actually like her gharacter now. Previews of tonight's new episode, from the good folks at ABC Watch it! The Kirk Kitteh commands it!
Yeah it was good but it started with one major flaw. How the body was found. Two guys find a nice piece of carpet in a dumpster. They carry it home and then find that a body is rolled up in it. WTF?! They don't notice an extra 180 lbs. in it?? Sorry, but that made me really go HUH??? What?? Todays viewing audience can only suspend but so much belief. Other than that, Fillion is really good in the role. I dig the cases. Oh and they can dump Mom. Really.
Sneak preview of this week's episode of Castle, courtesy of the good folks at ABC-TV. The preview starts right after the car ad.
I was thinkin' the female lead was "kinda pretty, but nothin' special" until she showed up at the book signing dressed to kill. WOWzah!!
She played the sexy vampire in the last of the Librarian movies, I've been waiting for her to get all gussied up.
Granted, but it made a nice set-up for Castle's line about the stiff "wearing a rug", don't you think?
It was another outstanding episode of Castle last night. The exchanges between Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic were quick and sharp. This show moves at a fast pace, there was a twist at the end, and we learn something about the characters. Tonight, we have new episodes of NCIS and The Mentalist. The NCIS episode (at 8/7 central), freatures cast member, Pauley Perette. These two shows have passed CSI in viewers, and are now the most watched scripted shows on television.
I missed it last week. Had a killer headache going and botched the timer setting on my VCR. Got about five or six minutes, tops. Got all of Harper's Island on thursday though, I'll be starting a thread on that one soon. Promo for tonight's Castle once again, from the good folks at ABC TV.
Isn't last weeks ep up on the ABC site? I haven't had to resort there yet but I've caught missed episodes of Lost on there before. Good Ep tonight too.
ABC uses their own media player software & I can't download & install stuff on this PC. I'll have to settle for reading the recap and catch the re-run.
I like the show and the cases but I did not get into the ex-wife and again I say dump the mother. It makes the show kinda sitcom like. I see it working better with just Fillion doing the funny/snarky lines. Shep, come on man. Gush a little about ya boy.
THAT was the finale? They are going to leave that question hanging ? Damn. By the way, catch it online or something, it was a fine episode. A bit lighter on the humor but very strong on the character development.
