Youtube links dead in Chrome

I blame society.

Running Chrome Version 28.0.1500.95 m on Window 7, and the youtube links just reveal a grey box when you click on them.

We're preparing to do an actual upgrade of the board software. That may help. Does your version of Chrome have the latest flash player installed?

Chrome's working fine for me.

Running the exact same version of Chrome with the same OS and not having any problems with youtube links. Your trouble is almost certainly with flash: Chrome has its own flash installation, separate from that of the rest of your system. Try going to adobe and updating your flash version from within Chrome.

28.0.1500.95 m works fine for me, too, although I'm on XP.

XP is fine, though Win 7 works very well. I wonder how many more versions they'll need before they come out with something functional again. And say what you like, all my Windows machines at home and at work are Dell, and I've never had a bad experience.

And then there's this little tidbit:

That is strange. Based on everything, it does sound like the issue is on your end.

Demi, what points of commonality can you think of in the three computers? It doesn't seem to be Chrome or the OS, since nobody else has the problem. Have you tried one of the three computers on a different network?

Its probably a problem in my Chrome installation, as I've got sync'ing enabled and that includes extensions. I've tried it on 3 different networks, that isn't the issue.

In fact, and somewhat ironically, the main function of 'incognito' in Chrome seems to be the ability to view something akin to the public net, as opposed to your private version of it.
