I wonder who gets the sympathy this time. Seems more and more obvious that this guy is a hot head who shouldn't be armed. http://www.newsday.com/news/nation/...ays-husband-threatened-her-with-gun-1.6039409
... or she's looking to make trouble for him during a nasty divorce. Won't be the first time that's happened.
Says in the article they've only heard one side of the story. I'll hold on until both sides are told because I'm not fun at all.
Yeah, for all we know, this "threat" amounts to him just having a gun on his person. "Do you have that gun with you right now, George?" "What? Yes.." "Hello, police? I'm being THREATENED WITH A GUN!" *divorce lawyer gleefully cackles and rubs hands together*
True, in this case we won't only rely on George's version of events. That may have been a mistake on his part.
"Shellie Zimmerman was asking that her husband pay for a permanent life insurance policy with her named as the beneficiary, according to a divorce petition made public last week." If this isn't a, "I hope someone kills you on the street so I can collect" moment I don't know what is..... And if I were Zimmerman I'd get the hell away from her.
This can happen to any gun carrier. You might think you need that gun when confronting a problem person. Don't bring your gun to chat with your soon to be ex-wife. See what can happen.
1. If the Zimmerman/Martin case taught anyone ANYTHING, it's this: wait until all pertinent facts are clearly presented BEFORE drawing conclusions. 2. Presented facts--the claim is made by an estranged wife, the couple is in the midst of a divorce--suggest enhanced skepticism. This is doubly true when you remember that the wife was recently found guilty of perjury for her attempt to conceal money from the court. 3. There are no sacred cows: if Zimmerman committed a crime, he should be arrested and tried. 4. Whatever the circumstances of this incident, they have no bearing on the circumstances of the facts of the prior case.
Got to agree there. Ex-wives can be downright evil. That's not to say that GZ didn't do what he's accused of simply because we don't know but we do know that soon to be ex-wives are notorious for making trouble for men getting divorced. I'm waiting for more info before throwing this in his lap......
And then it turns out, there may not have been a gun involved at all. But let's not wait for the facts -- that would be racist.
I doubt very much that there is any physical evidence, so this is a he said/she said, nothing more. Still it's good that she can present her story. That's an improvement.
Yep and turns out its a case of he said / she said and it looks like she is not going to press charges. As others have said, its more than likely a fabrication / manipulation. But hey it distracted everyone from Syria for a few moments, so it's a good thing, right?
This guy's in the news again? It's like he can hardly take a dump without it being deemed newsworthy. Why is he such a media anti-darling?
Well, not all of us get paid millions of moose turds a year for our highly refined skills at... the fuck is it you do, anyway? Sit around being Canadian?
Yep! Now it tuns out his wife and her dad aren't pressing charges or escalating the situation - probably because if anyone presses the issue, it may turn out they are bullshitting and accusing him of threatening them may boomarang on their ass. There are always two sides to every story.
Zimmerman has no choice at this point but move to a secluded mountain retreat, writing manifestos and crafting his return as a supervillian.
Just becasue they don't want to press charges doesn't mean he didn't do it. Abused spouses often take the route of not pressing charges. Not to mention other family that just have a change of heart the next day. But she does have an initial police report for future use.
If this were John Doe across the street and not GZ it would be small potatoes typical business as usual bitter divorce shit.
Once again a minority commits a crime against a white, and Al Sharpton is nowhere to be found! :IMHO!:
And until something substantial surfaces to indicate that he did do it, we operate from the position that he didn't. That's what mature people do. Innocent until proven guilty.
