One of the better films I've seen, out and out entertainment from start to finish, it was sheer enjoyment.

A lot of Hollywood blockbuster makers could do worse than study this for future reference.

Saw it again yesterday. Enjoyed it again. It's an entertainment, nothing deeper.

Finally caught a late show this week, enjoyed it tremendously. Columbus doesn't seem to have aged a day since Wes Craven's Cursed, does he?

Next week, I may finally get 'round to Paranormal Activity, the crowds should be thinned out by then.

For me, I was hooked from the moment I heard the opening strains of "For Whom The Bell Tolls". :D

A couple of great Woody bits...

This movie was pretty much non-stop lulz from start to finish. It drew on a lot of different sources, including Deliverance of all things. It was definitely an enjoyable movie, and I'll probably end up buying the DVD when it comes out.

Me too. When I first saw it, I thought "Eh, it's not DVD material, but it's funny", but the more I think about it, the more I want it on DVD, so I will end up buying it after all. :D

I just saw Zombieland a couple of days ago.

I think that it's the best American Zom-Com since "Return of the Living Dead - I". It was a little better than "Fido" and much better than "Dead and Breakfast".

I'd still say "Shaun of the Dead" was the best "living dead" send-up of the lot, though.

Saw this a week or so ago for the first time and laughed my butt off. Glad I didn't read anything about it, though. Basically a thread bump to see if anyone else wants to rehash this...

Just saw it a few weeks and absolutely loved it.

    Woody Harrelson was awesome! :techman:

Watched this with my clubmates and, I gotta tell you people, I felt the same rush of zombie-love that I did the first time I saw it.

I have to admit to being a total nerd. If I was really lucky I would've survived in the situation half as long as these characters but the "big realization" about Tallahassee and, eventually, everyone else that had survived? Forget it. That was actually some pretty deep stuff for such a looney-toons movie.

I read some reviews and even the "professionals" seemed to downplay or miss that angle. I thought it was one of the things that turned this from just another shoot'em up in a post-apocalyptic world into something you might actually think about for a while when you were done. I didn't think Harrelson (sp?) had it in him. Well done!
