Can I troll people with their personal information now?

If anyone posts any picture that I think may expose my name I want them banned.

I'm not sure how this is any different than the posters that started all those "Paul" threads a few months back which related to an actual real-life public figure named "Paul" in order to troll a WF member of the same name. If that was OK, why isn't this?

No one would have guessed that picture had ANYTHING to do with 14thDoc until he whined about it. It was a subtle troll, and a good one.

Personal information revealing, it was not. That's the crux of the matter. And that's why this decision sucks.

It wasn't okay. At least one person (me) got banned for it, and warned not to do it again. I was fortunate that it was only my first offense.

Just out of curiosity, was there unanimous consensus among the staff in regards to this decision? Was it split down the middle?

I thought 14th was banned for continually reposting where SquiggyFM worked. The "paul" threads had been going on for weeks unchecked.

A picture is not a word. Posting the name all over the place while flaming Kirk1ADM and gloating over getting him banned for accidentally exposing someones job is a lot different then this:

No Kirk got banned for that. 14th Doctor laid out a good trap for him and he fell right into it.

At the time, O2C said it was both. Zombie certainly seemed convinced that I was banned over the threads, since he was crowing about his role in busting me over at TK.

Right. But because he continued to "quote" the post in question he also got banned because he had the knowledge that the information was personal.

That was my understanding of the situation. Somehow he and K1A were banned simultaneously. I had assumed that because of the similar timeline he was banned for the SquiggyFM thing, and not the fact that he had been posting those threads for weeks by then.

Note: I'm guessing the thread in question was pruned by the database error.

The first one is a pic of the new Captain Kirk (Christopher Pine). Then a picture of the lady from The Facts of Life. Then I think one of the 3 stooges. Then a mantaray. Then another pic from the Facts of Life. Then a black guy. Then Ray Romano. Then Jaime Foxx.

No one "spoiled it" for Jamey and Jamey sure as fuck didn't "confirm it".

Unlike you and Zombie connecting the dots between Paul and a poster, all we have here is a dot with no connection.

Everything from that time frame here was lost in the purge.

Zombie repeatedly linking to explanations of it on another website (and reposting that explanation here) seems like "spoiling it" to me.

The other people now doing the same thing with their avs now doesn't really help either.

What you're polling the jury? Truth is every WF member is a jurist, being a member on staff doesn't change that fact, my opinion carries no more weight than any other member's opinion. Which is how it should be, this is a community of our own making.

When it comes to sharing another member's personal information my opinion is don't do it, every member's story is theirs to share and using personal info as ammo in a debate is akin to raising a white flag and saying "I've run out of reason and must resort to taking potshots."

Those that I PMed with know that I bluntly said that if Peter posted 'personal' information about 14thDoc, he should get banned.

A fucking picture isn't personal info. There have been lots of pictures on WF that could be linked to my name. I never said a word, so nobody ever knew a damn thing.

So you reported a poster for doing the same thing you were doing with another poster's name? (because that's the only way your explanation of what O2C really meant makes sense)
