If it's posted in the Red Room, it's fair game. That seems to be the general rule here. If you used the information from that Red Room post and dug around Google a bit, that is also fair game, as seen by the many examples of the dreaded Tamarchives at work.

If the same thing was done in regards to a Blue Room post, or something found on Big Blue then that is when in gets iffy and the banhammer may fall on your ass.

Which brings up an interesting point actually. We don't seem to have too many consistent rules when it comes to the flashing of personal information here. Whether or not that is a good thing, is up to the membership to decide.

There's only one rule on this: if it was posted by you, on Wordforge, then it's fair game. You are the only person who can "release" your own personal info, to include real name. Anything else is out of bounds.

The exception to this rule, of course, being Blue Room material released by you, right?

The rule is simple and very specific and would leave no room for loopholes or boundary pushing.

No personal information may be posted on this board by anyone other then the poster themselves who the personal information references. Once that poster releases on their own, personal information on WORDFORGE (notice how no other website is listed) and the personal information is NOT in the Blue Room then it is fair game FOREVER by other posters.

See? Couldn't get any simpler.

There are no loopholes or boundary pushing bullshit excuses for you mods to whine over.

Simple checklist:

#1 Did the poster who the personal information concerns release the information on Wordforge and not in the Blue Room? Yes see option A. No see option B.

Option A: "Fuck you poster for being stupid and posting your information on this board. You've no fucking business complaining at all. Stop wasting our time."

Option B: "We will edit out the info and ban the motherfucker who posted your personal information."

You would think it is that simple isn't it, but yet despite the rule having been that way, and repeatedly explained as such for a long fucking time we still have quite a few people complaining anyone does something like use Garamets real name and saying that it should be fair game to go after them in return.

First rules of modding: No matter how obvious and simple something appears on the surface (and you interpreted the rule perfectly) there will still be people who either cannot understand it or refuse to accept it.
