Bro, why is it that you're the latecomer who pisses everyone off, yet you hop all over well liked older staff members?

 

Someone disclosed personal info on purpose in a sig. How is that any different than when people disclose it in a post? If anything, it's worse - as a sig attaches to every single post made by that poster making the likelihood of exposure exponentially greater.

I'm surprised no one has been banned over this seeing how eliteforge has such a hard-on for banning over personal information, regardless of how or where that information was discovered.

 

Trust me it is the best way. Let them complain in public but tell them they are to stop annoying you mods in private over it. You'll hear no more talk on the subject and if they can't stop complaining in private and spamming your inboxes they can find another board or you will make them find another board.

It really is that simple. Put your foot down and demand they drop the subject as it has already been ruled on. Garamet's real name is public knowledge and was released on this board by her.

Even still there are things that you can't discuss about them. It's a little complicated because they are public figures and Garamet is a member of this board (before the ban) but public information on a public person is fair game.

If Garamet made a splash in the news (crazy writer attacks Star Trek Convention screaming ENTERPRISER!!!!) that would certainly be public. However talking about where her kids live and do for a living would not since she to my knowledge never discussed those subjects on this board in the open.

 

You just want him to post it so that you can then say he 'released' it.

As I said, signatures can cause far more harm than just a one time post buried in a long thread.

 

Wordforge could stand to lose a few histrionic drama queens and cowardly trolls anyway, in my humble opinion. Threads like this are an excellent way of identifying such targets.

There is nothing wrong with that username, as far as I can tell. If someone already used it as their handle, then it's fair game. It would be like banning anyone from using Nick Walczuk or Dan Leach after they changed their names.

And 14th Doc doesn't have a legit complaint unless he's willing to give us links. If he doesn't want to reveal anything here, he should PM an admin. But instead, he's used the Help Desk as a sounding board to create more drama.

They should throw out his complaint just based on his immature actions and behavior.
