Apparently there were discrepancies in his testimony before Congress: https://www.propublica.org/article/comeys-testimony-on-huma-abedin-forwarding-emails-was-inaccurate
He'll spend the rest of his life making millions from speaking fees. Sounds cushier than directing the FBI.
Maybe. If this is just Trump throwing Comey under the bus since Comey got busted lying to tip the election in his favour, then that's karma. But if it's Trump firing Comey in order to replace him with someone that's not going to investigate Trump's ties to Russia, then that's not good at all.
So when are the impeachment proceedings going to begin? What a shit show. Seriously, America. What. The. Fuck.
One, Trump's "my guy" only to the extent that he does what I want. Two, I'm not sure you're correct. The left hates Comey and blames him (at least partially) for Hillary's loss. What are they going to do? Come to his defense? Doubtful. May be the most insightful thing anyone's ever said about me.
Which he did. At best, he did it because he got caught making shit up in order to do a hatchet job on Hillary. At worst, he fired the cop that was investigating his own potential wrongdoing. I'm not seeing an upside.
You seriously think the GOP would attempt to impeach their own president (whether they prefer him or not)?
I'm not sure I see a downside. He gets rid of a guy who may be a thorn in his side, and it's a guy the left is going to have a real hard time turning around and painting as a victim, as they've been villifying him for months.
Though I voted for Trump, I've said that I don't support everything he does. I actually feel quite liberated by his election. I feel I don't have to push my "side" on every issue. If Trump loses some, it's fine with me...as long as he wins the ones I care about.
