Man! What an episode! Probably my favorite in the entire series! There was a point where I almost lost my shit when we saw Arya, Sansa and Bran together for the first time since early eps of S1. So, Littlefinger did have the "Cutthroat" dagger and he gave it to Bran who in turn gave it to Arya. Still wondering it's significance to the White Walkers and the Legend of the Long Night. I wonder if I can do a screen grab of S7 E1 and blow up that page and read what that book said about it. I'm surprised no one on the internet has done it yet. I knew Arya had become more proficient in her fighting skills, but I had no idea that she could embarrass Brienne so easily. Littlefinger seems to be intrigued by Arya but I have a feeling Arya wants his face for her collection.

So... The attraction between Danaerys and Jon seems to be growing.... I straight up thought Jon was going to take her in the cave for another hot spring bath like he did Ygritte all those years ago. I actually thought Dany was proposing to him when she told him the Northern Lords would accept her if Jon their king did. Did anyone else get the feeling that Tyrion and Varys didn't like it when Dany asked for Jon's advice? First time I watched it, I thought Tyrion was relieved when Jon's advice matched his, but I'm starting to think that Tyrion is a little concerned that he's loosing influence to Jon. Oh... Did anyone else think that Jon slipped that last drawing in the cave of the White Walkers in himself just to try and prove to Dany he's not crazy?

And that last battle scene.... What else can anyone add to that? That was GOT's best battle scene yet and that's saying a lot, IMHO. HBO has a 15 min "Making of" snippet on it I saw on HBO GO and I highly recommend it for the curious. I don't think I've ever been as conflicted while watching a fictional battle scene ever before. At one point I thought Jamie and Bronn were going to die and then Dany and Drogon.... I wanted Dany to win but I didn't want my favorite characters to die. Just awesome.

That's exactly what I said to my family: "I bet Jon and Ser Davos made those 'drawings' themselves. I mean, it's not like Dany or any of her group would know, right?"

Jon: You see, Your Grace... I'm not crazy! We have to work together!

    Dany: Oh... OK....

Jon: What do you think of this one here? I like how this portrayal uses light and shadow to imply an imminent feeling of doom and dread... and the bold use of color in the eyes provides an interesting contrast.

    Dany: Hmph.

They are leaked scripts not leaked video. Also, yes, just google "game of thrones season 7 leaks" and you will find pdfs. Alternatively, you could watch clips on youtube channals like Talking Thrones as they have videos summerizing the leaked scripts.

That was a wonderful ep, they're really kicking along now.

Although I thought using the anti-dragon device at that point was a tactical mistake - now Dany knows of the weaponry, and forewarned...

I liked how the start foreshadowed something happening to the gold, and it never did. It all got into Kings Landing, as that would've really fucked things up for Cersei.

Given the number of times shows have clunkily given away how the thread of the ep will unfold inside 5 minutes (hello B5, Lethal Weapon) it was nice to see a big, juicy red herring served up.

I wonder how much of the Lannister army is left? And I'm sure the survivors will cheerfully tell of the day they narrowly escaped being barbecued, should do wonders for the numbers as several decide on less dangerous work like brigandry...

The episode 5 preview shows Dany making a speech in front of surviving Lannister men claiming she didn't not come here to kill (uhh, yes, she did) but she would kill everyone who does not immediately bend the knee to her and join her army.

Littlefinger should head back to the Vale if he values his own survival. It's bad enough that Jon Snow threw him up against a wall, but when Bran said 'chaos is a ladder' that's an indicator that his old nemesis Varys might be back in the picture.

I haven't heard but I am betting Littlefinger gets the chop this season. Probably when Bran sees what happened to his father in Kingslanding. I am hoping Arya does it with the dagger Littlefinger gave to Bran.

Be better if she managed to get Jaime's face... Can imagine the scene now.

Cersei pulls down the trousers and... Surprise!

Although the skill seems to provide Arya with the ability to look exactly like the dead person, down to stature, so maybe Cersei would see meat'n'two veg?

Apparently that degree of separation is acceptable in Westeros.

It's not mentioned in the show, but Tywin Lannister was married to his first cousin.

In Season 4, Lysa Arryn intended to marry her son Robin to Sansa. The two are first cousins.

The Targaryens married their siblings for centuries.

And yet, Jaime and Cersei hooking up is big no-no. It is a mystery!

Littlefinger's face? Wouldn't she be quite upset with him as he allied with Sansa to take back Winterfell from the Boltons who were put in place there by the Lannisters?

Yeah, Littlefinger is in rebellion so she wouldn't like that. Littlefingers big plan is to marry Sansa and then set himself up as king of the north so he can invade the south.

Was on vacation and got in late last night. Watched the episode during the kid's naptime today.

Everyone's pretty much covered my thoughts but wanted to reinforce @Dinner's. Pretty much the whole battle scene I was yelling STOP BURNING THE STORES,WINTER IS COMING!

Littlefinger still a slick bastard.

That letter Arya read is the one that Cersi made Sansa send.

This is the letter: "Robb, I write to you with a heavy heart. Our good king Robert is dead, killed from wounds he took in a boar hunt. Father has been charged with treason. He conspired with Robert’s brothers against my beloved Joffrey and tried to steal his throne. The Lannisters are treating me very well and provide me with every comfort. I beg you: come to King’s Landing, swear fealty to King Joffrey and prevent any strife between the great houses of Lannister and Stark."

Fortunately Robb and Maester Luwin at the time saw it for what it was. Sansa was clearly under the thumb of the Lannisters. Arya however never knew of this letter and since the sisters were always having spats it's obvious Littlefinger is trying to drive a wedge between Sansa and Arya.

Rest of the episode was okay. Bronn was hilarious.

Loved Ser Davos' quote to Gendry: "I thought you were still rowing"

And we can see King Robert in Gendry now. Right down to the hammer.

The Dragon approves of Jon Snow.

Sam was so close to hearing Prince Rhaegar was married to Lynna Stark. The one thing though is even if Sam heard it before cutting off the girl would he have been able to piece together that Jon Snow was the son of that marriage?

Sam is going to take over House Tarly. Dickon was a fool. The Nightswatch is finished. I don't see them or the wall surviving the invasion. The wall is supposedly magic which is why the White Walkers haven't attacked it. But if they can bring the wall down that will end the magic.

    And Cersi is pregnant.

Not much else happened in this episode.

Yeah, not much action. But this episode dropped a huge load of information.

I totally forgot about that letter that Sansa sent to Robb. I was thinking that Littlefinger made it up for Arya to find.

Arya is playing into his hands, especially since she is already distrustful of Sansa. But Sansa was making a good point too. You need all these houses and you have to play the politics if you want to keep the North together and have an army to fight the Night King.

Arya is all about personal vengeance.

Gilly finding that scroll... I wonder if that was just a little in joke or if it will be important later. She has no idea who Rhaegar and Lyanna are and Sam wasn't paying attention. Does it even matter who has legitimate claim to the throne now? The Night King is the big threat.

Was cool to see a squad of popular characters form up for this mission, especially since most of them haven't really interacted much. Jon, Davos, Gendry (!), Jorah, Tormund, Thoros, Beric, and the Hound. It's like the dream team. But I think at least a few will die. This seems like a pretty awful plan and I have have a bad feeling its not gonna go right. Maybe Bran can help them somehow? He can warg into multiple creatures now and control them from very great distances.

I'm gonna guess Tormund and Thoros die, maybe Beric. The rest have unfinished stories and Gendry just got re-introduced after many years... it would be pointless if they killed him one episode later.

The big surprise in this episode is Cersei being pregnant. That really surprised me since that doesn't seem to fit with the witch's curse/prophecy that she would have 3 kids. And she's getting crazier by the episode. Would be great irony if her kid turned out to be a dwarf.

I was also wondering if Sam will have a grudge against Dany when he learns how is father and brother died. He doesn't seem like the vengeance type.

Every time I see Cersi with that haircut I think she's a Romulan.

Gilly, Sam and that scroll will play an important part. They just need to get the final survivor from the Tower of Joy, Howland Reed, to show up and spill the beans.
