The Trevorrow one would have been worse. And probably sunk the franchise. They were right to fire him.
All I know, is I liked TROS, its raked in a billion, and Trevorrow is eating out of a dumpster with his ribs showing, and his eyes sunk in. Win-win for everybody.
Yes because we all know raking in billions equals a good film, *cough cough, Transformers cough cough *.
No, but it does shut down the people who wrapped their whole self-esteem and identity around TROS failing, and taking all of Star Wars with it. They pretty much have to either commit honorable suicide, or go into witness protection. So, that's good.
Star Wars under Kennedy has had diminished returns for every succeeding movie. Even Campea admits this. So no, the naysayers weren’t wrong.
No, I just watched his show, he had a whole rant about how a billion is a success no matter how you slice it, and that the nattering naybobs who want to say it's a failure for not being 2 billion are idiots.
Now, he DID say TLJ and TROS could have made even MORE if they'd been more universally loved, but a billion is still a billion, and still a success. Hopefully, there'll be a better centralized master plan for the High Republic trilogy. All the gripes of the Rey trilogy come from them winging it.
I agree. What we got with IX sounds better than that leaked script. Kylo Ren getting redeemed was the best thing about the movie and really that’s more fitting for the end of the Saga considering he is the last Skywalker. Also why invent another Sith Master for Palpatine when it’s already been established in canon that Plagueis was his master? I’m not sure how I feel about this Sith cultists having Force powers though. Anakin was supposed to have killed off the Sith with his sacrifice. And there was that Rule Of Two (also in canon). I could buy that the cultists and the Knights Of Ren worship the Sith as gods without having Force powers themselves.
It just officially crossed a billion. *Opens window, and listens for the sounds of nooses tightening, and gunshots* Come on, haters, don't let me down. Do the right thing.
I think you mean to say Billie Lourd voiced the Jim Henson Leia muppet operated by three men and a midget.
Really wish I could find that Venture Bros. clip where he died. I can't though, so instead, I offer this behind-the-scenes clip of what it's like to work for Kylo.
Rise of Skywalker set to make less in the UK than Rogue One. What's up with that? https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/star-wars-rise-skywalker-rogue-one-uk-box-office-133319404.html
Brits love WW2 resistance type drama and not the usual good vs evil US fare. Plus, blind samurai Jedi wannabe and snarky droid.
Having seen Rogue One, I am a big fan. Love it. But I have not yet seen Rise of Skywalker so I am not able to make any judgments there.
I liked both but Rogue One definitely takes the cake, I think it's the best "new" Star Wars movie so far
I just recently discovered her on YouTube...she's amazing! On one of her vids I watched some time back, talking about how the bad guys in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom intended to use the dinosaurs as an assassination weapon by shining a special light on the intended target that attracts the dinosaur, she had this gem:
