What planet are you on. We elected Biden specifically because he wasn't going to do anything. He appointed an AG who declared beforehand that he saw no reason to prosecute orange cheeto. Thank you Biden and the Dems.
That’s a hilarious defense… “I’m from Jersey so I didn’t know there was an actual Capitol building where Congress met.”
My step-brother lived in NJ while going to Princeton, and he routinely went to DC on the weekends to hangout. I seriously doubt that he was all that unique in doing so.
I've said it a bunch of times before, it it bears repeating. The billionaire swine think if Democracy gets in the way of Capitalism, Democracy has to go. I think the exact opposite way.
Although it bears repeating that no serious figure in American politics wants to do away with capitalism or a market-based economy. Sure, you see the Zoomers who get mad at their landlords and start posting screeds on Twitter about how anyone who charges money for something is an oppressor and all housing should be publicly owned, but even Bernie Sanders has no interest in starting to nationalize industries. The billionaires talk about socialism to get the Republican base riled up, but what they're really up in arms about is a slightly more regulated market economy that would make it harder for them to exploit people, combined with a taxation system that would keep them extremely rich, just slightly less so.
Capitalism is the pathway to oligarchy and eventually fascism. It worked for several hundred years under a monarchy, but with capitalism, the king is the one with the most money. Only under a resource or gift based economy can a democracy truly flourish.
Just Trump's acting Sec of Def disarming the DC National Guard 2 days before the coup attempt. Trump had fired Mark Esper, the previous Sec Def, just days after he was confirmed to have lost the election. Esper had previously stopped Trump from ordering federal DHS agents from opening fire on protesters. The previous Sec Def, Jim Mattis, had accused Trump of being a threat to the US Constitution. You can tell this is more than just the appearance of Nat Guard being problematic because it also bans giving equipment or intelligence to local law enforcement. No cooperation whatsoever. Hey @Paladin, still nothing to see here? Just 'legitimate political discourse?'
