In an ideal scenario, FF's going into rehab to dry out. In reality, he's bailed on this place like the other tightie-righties, who opted to flee, rather than admit that they're wrong about some aspects of American politics. I noticed that for some time he's posted what he thought was an "own" against me, and then rapidly liked a whole bunch of my posts in the meme thread, as if he was trying to curry favor with me or something. Maybe it's just me, but if I make a post angrily denouncing another poster, I don't immediately follow it up by liking other stuff that they've posted (regardless of how I might feel about it). Irrespective of what one might think of FF's politics, it's pretty clear that he hasn't put a lot of thought into them, and when challenged on his ideas, he doesn't really know how to respond. Honestly, I think that it must have been a pretty hard shock to his system when you pointed out that if he wanted a government as solvent as Norway's the best way to achieve that was by supporting left-leaning candidates.
It's almost Labor Day. School starts up again next week. I think it's her senior year and she's focusing on winning prom queen.

Yeah, so, here's what happens if I become New Dayton: 1: I accept the role, and play to it. 2: Everyone gets bored because it's no fun when the New Dayton is in on it. 3: I continue playing to the role to the point that it's mildly irritating, and the best solution it just to ignore me. 4: I get bored with it because no one is paying attention to me. 5: No one bothers appointing another New Dayton, and the position dies. Actually, while 1-4 seem kind of meh, #5 sounds good. Let's do this! I accept the position of New Dayton, and promise to remove all reason from my arguments. My beliefs are true because I believe they are, and if that's good enough for me, it should be good enough for everyone else.
