A student in a classroom is a pussy for complying with the teacher's instructions? Ok.

    I got that.
I don't happen to subscribe to your paranoid grievance worldview, so I rudely and impatiently trampled on your dumb definition with facts; anecdotal as they may have been.

it's a pretty simple binary here... you either teach the whitewashed idealized version or we acknowledge the actual facts of the past.

you're the one who's all about honoring commitments-shall we discuss the fulfilling of treaty obligations or are we going to ignore that inconvenience because it requires paying back a debt our forebears left us?

I would have the past taught in full Technicolor detail.

A weaselly, prevaricating way of saying "sins of the father and collective guilt." No need to repeat a sales pitch I've heard already. That's not history, that's modern politics with the very one-sided spin that has all white people born in into unpayable debt and everyone else born equipped with default victimhood status. That's not teaching history, that's instilling them with your opinions. If you think they're old enough to grasp the concept, then they're old enough to make their own conclusions based on a neutral presentation of facts. If they're not old enough to make those leaps, you would be taking advantage of the chance to make up their minds for them, which is obviously unacceptable.

    So, "no" on treaty obligations.
Just a weaselly prevaricating way to say it.

Who pays, and who gets paid? Dead people pay other dead people? Direct, verifiable descendants? Or government entities and corporations that were around back then? In 19th century amounts, or adjusted for inflation? People who think they can drop "reparations" on the table like a grenade and then mince away like they've accomplished something are weak sauce bullshitters of the highest order. You're meant to be too guilty to question the practical mechanics of it or the merits of applying it to individuals in modern times.

no dumbass... it's a simple matter of the bill hasn't been paid for over a century or more. these are the debts of our forefathers, and frankly, we're still adding to them today (DAPL, anybody?)
and you wonder why you're perceived as a low key white supremacist?

amazing you suddenly care about nuance... you're usually dismissive of the idea.

have treaty obligations been met? no

has the us government seized unceded territory under force of arms in our lifetimes? yes

if there's a nuance I'm missing here, feel free to expound.

The nuance here would be acknowledging the vast complexities to be untangled in order to try and pay out on something like that now. Of course that assumes you were looking to accomplish something beyond vacuous moral preening.

on what basis other than groundless personal attacks do you presume the vacuous moral preening?
