In this situation where the proud nazi boys have attempted to violently stop a drag show, it is perfectly OK to punch them as they opened up melee. In this case they showed up for violence.

I always listened, because I was interested in things, but I ditched assignments all the time when my homework load got too huge, and I calculated where I could take the hit.

I was asked to explain how someone might be forced to read a book. Definitely not advocating for the practice.
