Yeah, and I think I'm in the first group to be called (those living with people undergoing chemotherapy). In fact I should have heard by now but postal strike plus general crapness of these schemes means I havn't heard yet
Being in a high risk group myself, I got mine last week in the oncologist's office. In my arm though, not my ass.
Re: Are You Getting The H1N1 Flu Shot? I'm low-risk for this one, so I'll wait till those who are high-risk have gotten it and see how the supplies hold out. Already got the seasonal flu shot. (Sorry, Zombie.)
I'm gonna die someday of something but a flu doesn't really scare me, so I'm not wasting the money. If I get it, I get it.
Listen to your doctor Tamar. I had pneumonia and a really bad case of the flu back in the spring, who needs to put up with all those breathing difficulties if you don't need to?
No, that's how the illuminati/bilderburger/trilateral commission folks plan to kill us off. They will have to drag me to the FEMA camp instead. It's true, I read it on infowars.com.
Nah. Louis Farrakhan told me that the H1N1 vaccine is the white man's attempt to poison the black man. I don't want to get caught up in the middle of that.
Ahh, The Onion. To answer the thread question, not yet. There hasn't been a real outbreak in CT yet, but if there is I will get it.
What's wrong with that? There's people ahead of me that need it more than I do and the risk is very low at the moment.
I'm not saying you should barge ahead of the more needy. But waiting until there is a local outbreak in order to get the vaccine is part of the reason why local outbreaks happen in the first place.
My wife, the nurse, talked me into the seasonal one and will probably talk me into H1N1 as well but haven't made the final decision on that yet.
Already had H1N1, so no need here. Most of my coworkers are passing, because one of our other coworkers got dystonia from taking H1N1 vaccine, and now has a neurological disorder that has left her barely able to walk for the rest of her life. She was formerly a marketing manager - and pro football cheerleader.
Order2Chaos agrees: She's your coworker? I started a thread about it. Yeah, don't know her personally, I used to work in the tech center across the street from where she was. Faisent and I both work for that company. The company put a big show on about H1N1 and flu vaccines - definitely wanted everyone to get shots. I can understand their POV, but that pretty much stopped that right in its tracks. Also have a personal friend I work with that got a rare neurological disease a year back. They don't have a direct casual link, but it was within a month of him getting his flu shot for that year. Turns out they use mercury as a preservative. And a very small percentage of people have a very nasty reaction to it. This guy isn't likely to recover the use of his facial muscles.
