I don't think you can convince Kirk to dress up as an otter. :nono:

JJ Trek was awesome in the same way that the Transformers movies were awesome; that is, not.

Let's hope that JJ's Klingons are nothing like the honour-obsessed drunken fools from TNG/DS9 nor that pretentious Shakespeare-quoting twat from STVI.

I'd like to see them modeled after Kor again.
Or, Kruge would do in a pinch.

Well whatever they are let's hope they at least look like Klingons. I looked at the villains in the last Trek movie and couldn't see the resemblance with the Romulans that they were supposed to be!

The Enterprise looked just fine to me when they made Kirk a official Captain and they left Earth orbit at the end of the movie.

Anyways.... change engineering. Bring the the ship to scale (nacelles/rest of ship).

And of course tone down the fucking glare of the lights and make the bridge look less like an Apple store.

Damn I thought this was new thread until I reached the Kirk1ADM unit post and looked at the date. :D

From what I've read, and I know it's not canon, but all Federation ships are built to be easily changed out interior and exterior based on mission needs and upgrades in technology. Swap equipment in and out as needed.

    "Well isn't that conveeenient?:marathon:"

Of course all ships are designed to be easily reconfigurable. Just like warp speed and transporters, that allows for different sets without having to explain the continuity. :techman:

If the Enterprise looks different in STXII it'll be explained in exactly the same way the complete change in Gotham City was between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight - i.e. it won't.

Trek tech fans will spaz in an epic fashion.

Well, since we're demanding stuff, I figure I'd like to see Q again - reckon Ioan Gruffadd would make a good big screen version - as he's a useful tool for character growth.

A 'Tapestry' for Kirk, where he's about to make a hasty decision and Q propels him into the consequences of it, making Kirk more thoughtful than the brash, unpolished one we got in the last film, completing the Captains/Q collection and some verbal sparring between the Trinity and Q.

McCoy and Q in a slanging match could be quite legendary on it's own...

    "What do you mean, 'like'?"

    ^ Thoughtful? Consequences?

Do me a favour. With all the time being taken up with that where will they put all the cool lens flares and neat 'splosions?

The funny thing I find about lens flares is that for a long time, this was just a defect that happened when lighting wasn't just perfect. It was seen as a big enough problem that quite a bit of effort was put into developing lenses and coatings that would mitigate or eliminate that problem. But now the hipster crowd sees that defect as "cool". :brood:

I guess I'm in the minority cause I actually liked the lens flare effect, at least for the Star Trek film.
