I'm stuck with the Cardinals vs. Rams for the late game. UGGGGGHHHHH!!!! Oh well, I'll get to see the Steelers get some revenge (hopefully) against the Ravens tonight.
Steelers Ravens game was good for the first half. I fell asleep for the second. Want to cure insomia? Try teaching your kid how to ride a bicycle with no training wheels with her going from one emotion to the next insane at the top of her lungs one and then her sister who uses training wheels mocking her at every turn. I liked the Steeler uniforms. Are they going with that permanently or just for certain games? And the Dolphins! Fucking bastards! You're supposed to lose!!!! Now we've dropped to third in the Suck for Luck run. And where the fuck was all this enthusiam for Football the first 7 games??????
Those are their classic/throwback unis. I think teams are allowed to wear them twice(?) a year, maybe three times? Good, hard-hitting game. I'm not a Ravens fan, but I was happy to see the Stoolers lose at home.
I am now convinced the Redskins are in the Suck For Luck Sweepstakes, because the certainly sucked against Miami.
Jonah called it on Friday: To recap: Seahawks > Cardinals + Seahawks > Jaguars รท Jaguars > Ravens = Seahawks > Ravens. Of course being Seattle, even the sports writers are nerds.
The Ravens are in trouble. All 3 losses were to bad teams yet they can beat the good teams. They can't avoid the letdown and are grossly inconsistent. They were lucky to beat Arizona or they'd have 4 losses.
There's a lot of reasons that the Rams suck this year when they were supposed to be having a break out year. However, the biggest is they've played 9 games, and have their top 9 cornerbacks out on IR. Not hurt and coming back, all 9 are done for the season. Absolutely unheard of. Hell, I might go tryout soon.
Damn the Dolphins!!!!! Now there is chatter about Nat Moore being a starter. I'm sure he's a nice guy but he's a career backup quarterback for a reason!!!!!
Well the Waterchickens have done a season first. Won TWO games in a row. This is a sign, the season's turning around baby!
Maybe I'm just crazy, but to me, if you stick your leg out where the ball was half a second ago, you shouldn't be surprised if someone falls on it.
I got faith in Caroll. He's said all along he was going to build a program from the ground up and it would take time. Besides, he came from USC so has plenty of experience with buying top talent.
Ok, we all know that the Rams suck. Much press coverage on them recently has focused on the futures of GM Billy Devaney and Head Coach Steve Spagnuolo. Both are on the hot seat. Frankly, I like both men, and think they've got it in them to do well. The team had a LONG way to go when they came in 3-4 years ago. Still does, but I think it's in far better position now. The defense doesn't seem that far off--injuries have decimated the secondary this year. The offense is sporadic, and is hurt by poor performances by the O-line and the WRs. But I think that the team continues to play hard for the coach. Obviously more talent upgrades are needed. But I don't see much benefit in switching coaches now, and potentially starting Sam Bradford on his third offense in the 3 years.... Anyway, all that being said, I believe Spags put the final nail in his own head-coaching coffin yesterday by punting on 4th-and-1 from their own 40-yard-line with the score tied 20-20 against Arizona with 3:30 left in the game. It's one thing to have faith in your defense, but 4th-and-1 with Steven Jackson as your RB, and you PUNT?!? Hello? McFly?!? That's just a total lack-of-confidence in your own offense, and it's playing to Not Lose, as opposed to Playing to Win.
Dad was wanting to see Feeley play, as he seemed more capable of getting things done than Bradford. Well, Feeley played today, and we got shut out. And for the thirty people who care about the Super Bowl halftime show, it's going to be . . . [?=Brace yourself]Madonna[/?]
Go Tebow!!!!! And go GREEN BAY!!!!! Run the table and go undefeated all the way to the Super Bowl!!! That was a great game between the Giants and Green Bay. Even my Dolphins were pretending to be a great team. I mean yeah it was the Raiders but still.....it was also the Dolphins....
I sat through the entire Bears/Broncos game. For the first 56 minutes it was unwatchable because it was bad. For the rest, it was unwatchable because the Bears were bad. Nothing Tebow or the Broncos do anymore surprises me. Hit seven straight passes to lead to a TD, when he hadn't completed 7 all day? Sure! Lead a drive that leads to the longest field goal in Broncos history? Sure! Lead another drive to lead to a 50 yarder in OT? Sure! Then again, it wasn't Tebow that made Marion Barber step out of bounds with 2 minutes left, or drop an easy first down in Bronco territory, or fumble in OT. Or ensure that the Bears have a UFL-caliber backup at QB to ensure the offense functions about as well as a fat guy climbing a wall. Still, though. TEBOW!!!
