    Well go figure!

Bit by bit the story unravels and unfolds. So Zimmerman was in fact the recoginzed Captain.

See? I told you HOAs were teh evil! They threw Zimmerman under the bus right out of the gate.

I also have said from page one things are not as they appear, let the facts be shown. As the ambiguity fades like smoke from the scene things slowly come to light.

Not that it will make a damned bit of difference to some, they'll burn and pillage things in some camps and in others they will take advantage of the situation to make a buck like the hoodie industry as the charlatans perpetuate the machine with their vitriol. Even the administration and other political deligates along with all the political pundents are quick to hop on the train.

    Just another day in America.

I think at some point we have to let go of the idea that this is an ordinary case. The investigation was supposedly so complete that Zimmerman wasn't charged with anything. Clearly it's been reopened but only at the urging of the community and media. If it was complete and obvious when the firestorm began why not release them now to put out the fire before it became the explosion it is now?

Because they're not a PR firm, and they're not paid to make sure the general public's curiousity is indulged at all times?

    The detective did recommend charges.

It wasn't the Attorney General for the State of Florida that arrived. It was the State Attorney for the 18th Judicial District (Seminole and Brevard County).

And he recused himself not the night of the shooting (Feb 26) but on Mar 22 because of the firestorm over this.

Because he's being accused of being a "good old boy" whose trying to cover up the case so the best thing to do is step out of the way and let someone else take over the case.

Why not wait until the trial if there is one or wait until the case is found justified?

And somehow I doubt the pictures will change your mind.

Police chief stepped down for the same reasons the State Attorney did. Peopkle are accusing him of a cover up so the best thing to do is step to the side and let someone else take over.

We don't know the condition of the cellphone. We don't know if any numbers were on the phone. We also don't know if the cell phone was in Trayvon's name.

And they did try to identify him. Obviously they need to know who he was.

The people of Florida are happy about that too.

The use of force was appropriate.

They should however charged the man for not reporting the use of force, the lying about it, and tampering with evidence, and dealing in stolen goods (the radios).

Since you can't be arsed to put the article up so we don't have to deal with all the other bullshit.

So the judge sided with the guy who got ripped off and then was subsequently released because the judge didn't have all off the information pertenent to the case like his inital lack of being forthcoming and the sale of two of the stolen items?

I have to ask, why was the procecution unable to get this information on the floor? What did they fail to do in not making this happen?

They failed to have a leg to stand on is what. You can't go back after the fact and say "Oh, by the way" and expect anything but mockery as a result of the ineptitude when you lose the case.

Someone's Colombo skills seriously lack timing.

Best procecution could have done was sale of stolen property anyway.

edit: ....and failure to report along with lying as mentioned while I was posting.

I missed something. Where does it say the judge didn't have all the information?

George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch crime captain who shot dead 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, originally told police in a written statement that Martin knocked him down with a punch to the nose, repeatedly slammed his head on the ground and tried to take his gun, a police source told ABC News.

    http://abcnews.go.com/US/trayvon-martin-shooter-teenager-gun/story?id=16000239#.T3R3adnd2uL

And yes this little snippet of news doesn't mention anything about "going to die" and we will have to wait until they release the statement to see what Zimmerman says Martin said if anything.

That doesn't necessarily mean the judge didn't know. It could just mean that in deciding on the self defense part of the case the judge didn't consider those things in her decision.

If the cops are doing their jobs right, you don't see ANY evidence before it goes to the Grand Jury.

True. Upon futher thought it may well be she did know and it wasn't addressed to others in a manner that they liked thus the didn't consider comment.

Perhaps there were motivations there as well to avert issues within their community should they procecute on the other possabilities.

    Dunno.

You know, at this stage... I'm pulling back.

At first, I thought Zimmerman was scum.

Then, it seemed Trayvon was scum.

Then, it went back and forth a billion times.

    We. Just. Don't. KNOW!

As has been covered dozens of times, as recently as my last post, you're mistaken. Most States call the local prosecutor the District Attorney. In Florida, DA's are known as State Attorneys. The State Attorney for that area was handling the case until he recused himself.

See, that's the thing with this case. You hold evidence close to the vest because they're going to play hell trying to get an impartial Grand Jury and, if necessary, Trial Jury.

And yet we continually are seeing selected things only. Remember that this was never suppose to go to a grand jury in the first place. He was never going to be charged with anything. No grand jury. No showing evidence. In their minds, no crime. Without public outcry this thing would have disappeared totally.

When this does go to trial I think it might be an OJ Simpson style spectacle which is unfortunate. Also I am always interested in the evidence. I work with it all day, every day.

How do you know? No one ever said it wasn't going to go to a grand jury. In fact, from the minute the story broke, "the investigation was ongoing".

    Don't just make up shit.
