I'm about at that point and it's boring to continue. I'm maxed my smithing and enchanting so all armor/weapons has been crafted using smithing+ potions and armor. After that I used enchanting+ potions to double enchant an entire set of super-smithed daedric armor/sword x2/bow. Level 46 with nothing really hurting me so it's mostly a run to a different location, point, stab, rise/repeat. Only problem is, I don't like the game enough to start all over again so I just slug through the rando quests. :meh:

I'm on my 5th ....6th? Character and I'm taking the time to discover the interesting locations. There are some pretty bizarre areas they have constructed.

2 different things. The Elder Scrolls MMO will be set 1000 years prior to Skyrim.

Dawnguard is just a DLC for Skyrim isn't it?

We'll know more after E3, but it's supposed to be a massive expansion pack for Skyrim and not just DLC.

I'm hearing that Dawngaurd has been dated for the Xbox on June 26, 2012. It will be $20. I'll confirm it when I get home.

I'm excited to jump back into Skyrim again. I spent a lot of time in that game, and I'm not afraid to again (though my Super Monday Night Combat time will diminish.)

Bethesda Exec: “We Have Not Announced Dawnguard For Any Other Platform…”
“…nor given a timeline for any such news.”

    July 26, 2012

    by Colin Moriarty

Earlier today, we reported on news that PlayStation 3 will finally get a new Skyrim patch. But it appears that news of Skyrim’s first piece of DLC – Dawnguard – may be a ways off for Sony’s console, as well as for PC.

On his Twitter account, Bethesda’s VP of PR and Marketing Pete Hines Tweeted that “We have not announced Dawnguard for any other platform, nor given a timeline for any such news.” He continued, stating that “If we have news, I promise I’d tell you.”
Such news (or lack thereof) doesn’t bode well for PlayStation 3 and PC gamers hoping to get their hands on Dawnguard sometime soon. While it’s well-known that Microsoft secured exclusivity for Skyrim DLC on Xbox 360, the exclusive window was a mere 30 days long. Dawnguard launched on Xbox 360 exactly a month ago today, so that 30 day period has now passed. Thus, the DLC could conceivably come out on PS3 and PC as of today.
Hopefully, we’ll hear more about Dawnguard for PS3 and PC soon. In the meantime, it appears we’ll have to be patient, something PS3 gamers in particular have been with Skyrim since the game launched.

I can't blame Microsoft for paying out the whazoo to get a window like that, Publishers have to know that they hurt themselves when the shaft the majority of their fans like that. At least PC players have mods, but PS3 gamers got a subpar product to begin with sand now this. I'm a PS3 player primarily, but chose Xbox for this because if the way Bethesda botched the PS3 version.... But he'll. :(

I've got some good news and some bad news.

Dawngaurd for the PC was released yesterday! Either all of our PC fans were unaware of this or we're too busy playing it to post it here.

The bad news is that Bethesda is not yet "satisfied with Dawnguard's performance on the PS3" and have not released it yet. I guess this is better than releasing a shitty DLC and taking heat for it.

I'm about to pop open a new character and give it all ago again. It's been a while and I only ever had a badly leveled mage-ranger-melee-everything pile of shit of a character.

I've come to the realization that Bethesda Software is shit on the PS3... I just bought Fallout 3 and New Vegas again on the Xbox and will be giving these titles another spin. I'm sure I'll come back to Skyrim after the holiday rush.

You can buy XBOX style game controllers for PC's now- I think they've been around for a while.

Since building my PC last year, I have only bought Bethesda games on PC. Modding is such a necessary piece of the puzzle when playing a game like Skyrim or New Vegas that playing on anything other than PC is a complete waste. You'd be surprised by the amount of things that you'll never get to experience, and I'm adding new content to these games monthly and giving them a little more time and getting a lot of enjoyment.

from what I understand, a lot of PC games do not support controllers (Diablo III). I would love to play a lot of PC games, but the WASD controls are too much for me. I also like gaming on my big screen TV from my couch. For me to adopt PC gaming, I'd have to buy a high end video card with HDMI output, and I'd happily move my PC next to my entertainment center. It has 6GB of DDR-RAM, so it should run most games.

I'm pretty sure you can get XBOX style controllers for PC's now, but what I do is a little different. (I'm a partially ambidextrous southpaw).

I use the joystick from my X-54 set in my right hand, and the mouse (trackball in this case) with my left, and remap all the triggers, buttons, and hats on the stick to do what I want. I map the X-Y axes of the stick for WASD It's really cool to move in any direction, jump, fire, reload, etc without having to move my hands around the keyboard.

I pretty much use the same setup for all shooter/ COD/ first person perspective games, and to the greatest extent possible I keep the key maps the same for all these games so my muscle memory can kick in as needed, when the SHTF in gametime.

I thought much the same as you do Alpha, but you'll be surprised how quickly you adapt to using a PC and WASD controls. You can get a computer good enough to play Borderlands 2 with everything turned to high for about 5-600 dollars. No joke. I would strongly recommend NOT hooking your PC up to your TV, as you will quickly realize how inferior an HDTV is to most LCD monitors; PC monitors were displaying in "HD" before HD was HD.

Steam has that new TV system beta going on right now, and I believe most games have controller support. If you look at the right column on each game page, it will say if it's controller enabled. Anything that comes out on a console is PROBABLY controller enabled because it's easy enough to do, and sometimes it will even map to 360 buttons.

I'm on Steam. I have exactly three games on the platform, but I can't get very far with the controls being what they are. I'll pick up a controller this weekend and see if I can get into it.

The London Philharmonic Orchestra Does Skyrim

I must've listened to this at least a dozen times already. I don't know if my TV doesn't have the same fidelity or if the LPO just knocked this out of the park, but what a difference! I preordered the album on iTunes.
