Taking this opportunity to say that I happily concede the right of those who have been here in the discussions for monthsto gloat that their guy won.

On the other hand, fuckers who haven't been heard from in over a year who show up NOW to dance in their underwear?

    do piss off, child.

I believe in beating dumb asses with a stick so badly they will bloody well remember it next time they think of posting something stupid. Smear it in their faces as to how wrong they were, says I.

On a slightly different note....where the fuck is sandbagger? Curious minds are curious...

I do have to give props to the two most left-leaning members here (Actormike and 'wordin), they pretty much got it right with Obama getting over 300 EV's.

Over night trading shows the dollar up against the Euro, up against the Pound, and up against the Yen. What nonsense are you babbling? As if being pwnd about the election wasn't enough for you. Do you still want to call me "delusional" for predicting an above 300 EV win for Obama? You know, exactly what all the polls from reputable sources were predicting?

No doubt Sandbagger is now hiding in his doombunker, drinking himself into a stupor, and babbling about imagined communists. :john:

I can't remember who it was, but some loon here was screeching that Obama was an idiot, who'd cost himself the election by "killing" bin Laden. Said loon firmly believed that there was some kind of conspiracy involved with bin Laden's death and that Obama was supposed to reveal bin Laden's death in the weeks before the election, rather than a year before, but being an idiot, did it early. Loon was proud to say that this meant Obama had lost the election before the campaign even began.

Just wanted to point that out, when facts have shown the loon to be so clearly wrong on so many levels.

He didn't, but if he did, I garuntee you there would be more hypocritical butthurt on the right than anything. The problem in 2000 was the intervention by the right leaning Supreme Court that stopped the recounts.

I have to take something back from last night... It seems like Michelle Bachmann won her re-election bid. I must've misread something somewhere.

However, that wack-a-loon Allen West is going home!! So it was still a great night!!

For what its worth, I think the next few years will see continued economic stagnation. The economy will bump along at maybe 2% growth, Unemployment will remain around 8%. Gas prices will double again. Iran will get nukes, the Middle East will be even less stable than it was. It will be even less safe to be an American overseas. And everyone will say that it is not Obama's fault. Then in 2016, Candidate D will run against Candidate R on the mantra of "we don't want to go back to what didn't work 8 years ago."

Here's hoping the Mayans were right.

Go stand in the corner, dumbass. What kind of "recovery" is so slow that it takes over four years--and is actually worse than it was before the start?

Yeah I just saw that Allen West just lost to those racist voters of South Florida. Racism is alive and well.

Geez, there is a scale of "bad guy", y'know.

He doesn't have to be rubbing his hands, twirling a mustache, and picking a baby out of a fish tank for a goblin chef to prepare.

    The 47% shit?
    He's a prick.

    That's enough.

I'm comfortable with Obama winning. However, the insane incumbency rates in Congress continue:

That isn't a shocking thing, Rob. Most people agree with their congressman. All the compromising that has to go on when you have so many people with so many differing views is a major part of the problem.

I tend to like my congress critters. I can't stand Cohen, or Boxer, or Pelosi. As a whole, I think congress is a bunch of dolts.

Maybe part of the problem is that we don't have enough national dialogue; there aren't enough citizens persuading people to change their vote.

Next election, I'll double the amount of political pictures I post on Facebook.

The funny thing is that I don't even think he believes that. I could be wrong, but I don't. I think he was just saying what he thought that crowd wanted to hear... and that was what concerned me the most about Mitt Romney. The company he kept and who he was in bed with. The John Sununu's, Paul Ryan's and various other right wing nut jobs of the world.

If memory serves, CNN was crowing yesterday afternoon about 1.5 million absentee ballots in Ohio that won't be counted until 10 days after the election. I doubt that will change the overall outcome though.

Why don't we have a rational discussion about money supply before we start deciding which is good and bad? Our current economy needs a low dollar to grow and survive.

Also lost in all this is another ridiculously good night for Nate Silver's election prediction formula. I think the only state he got wrong was Florida, which he had barely Romney.

The few places I've checked still show it as grey as well. God damn it, Florida, hurry up. This is an election, not a leisurely drive to Sunday church.

And they've all said 97% counted since about 11:00 last night. I guess they stopped bothering once Ohio was called.

He had it as barely Obama--50.3%-- in his final projection.

That makes 99 states out of 100 in the last two elections.
