Re: "Man Of Steel", trailer 300 was one of the greatest high-testosterone manly-man movies ever made! It's also highly rewatchable.
Re: "Man Of Steel", trailer Watchmen was awesome, one of the best examples of the superhero genre ever. 300 was pretty damned entertaining. Sucker Punch was stunning, strange, and highly disturbing; I thought it a good film.
Re: "Man Of Steel", trailer I'm even less whelmed by this than I am by the Johnny Depp with a dead bird on his head Lone Ranger movie.
Re: "Man Of Steel", trailer Back in '86, after DC's Crisis on Infinate Earths ended, the DC multiverse had been condensed into one (for a while anyway) universe/reality. Since Superman, Batman & Wonder Woman were kept with the modern day teams & adventures, there was speculation as where that "energy" of those character's golden-age counterparts went. In Superman's case, it was decided that Arnold "Iron" Monroe was to be the golden-age manifestation of that "energy". "Iron" Munroe was the illegitimate (If I recall correctly) son of Hugo Danner, of Gladiator. Just one of many "fixes" required to try and save all the outstanding work Roy Thomas had done on All-Star Squadron prior DC editorial's Crisis nonsense screwing it up. Edit: Typos & a really bad brain-lapse.

Re: "Man Of Steel", trailer I saw this trailer before The Hobbit, not expecting it nor recognizing it until part way through. Overall, a really good trailer because it actually got me interested in seeing a Superman reboot movie.
Re: "Man Of Steel", trailer linked at io9 Accord it the level of skepticism you feel appropriate http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=48816189&postcount=233
Re: "Man Of Steel", trailer Yeah, it seems as if this Superman is a bit more high stakes, what with Zod bringing in a Kryptonian battle fleet and all.
Re: "Man Of Steel", trailer I've always considered Superman to be a bit of a pussy (Batman is a real hero). But I've got to say this is looking pretty cool. Go Batman!
Re: "Man Of Steel", trailer I actually agree with this, Superman will take on anything or anyone because he knows he's pretty much invulnerable. Batman knows he isn't invulnerable but he will still take on anyone or anything.
Re: "Man Of Steel", trailer Take away his armour and all those wonderful toys, and Batman is nothing but a nancy-boy ponce with mommy/daddy issues. Superman FTW!
Re: "Man Of Steel", trailer In no particular order: Ditto on the costume. It actually caused me physical pain in the scene where his back is to the screen and there is no yellow crest on the cape. While it may make for a good story, I'm not big on an angsty, emo Superman, trying to find himself. Sure he has problems. Maybe he isn't always sure of himself. But you know what? He's Superman. He fucking mans up and internalizes all that because he's pretty fucking awesome. In fact he's so fucking awesome that he wears his underwear outside his pants and dares you to call attention to that. How bad does it have to suck to be Aquaman. Can you imagine the inaugural Justice League meeting? "Hi. Thank you all for coming here. Let's start out with introductions. I'm Superman. I'm invulnerable, I can fly, I have heat vision and a bunch of other cool powers." "I'm Green Lantern. Also pretty much invulnerable. I can fly. I can function in space and I can make cool giant green things." "I'm Wonder Woman. Also invulnerable. And I have bracelets that can deflect bullets and a lasso that makes people tell the truth. I can't fly, but I have an invisible plane so the only difference is that I have to find a runway and buy fuel and stuff." "I'm Batman. I have a cape. And a cool car. And gadgets." " " "OK, OK, let's move it along. I'm Aquaman. I'm very strong, can breathe underwater and swim really fast. And I can talk to fish." " " In a team with a guy with no actual powers, Aquaman is the butt of the jokes.
